1. ๐“๐ก๐ž ๐’๐ฐ๐ข๐ฆ (๐Ÿ‘.๐Ÿ–๐ค๐ฆ) ๐ŸŒŠ The day started in the rain. 3.8 km of battling through choppy waters with rain pouring down. Visibility was low, but swim was as the only part I was most comfortable in. Getting out of the water in 1.18 hr was the first victory!

6. The first time I heard about Ironman race was when @milindrunning did it in 2015 at the age of 50 in 15 hrs 19 min in Switzerland. I had decided that I, too, will do it by the time I turn 25. Of course, career took precedence and later I forgot about this wish.

7. But in 2022, Ironman Kazakhstan took place in Astana kazakhstan ๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ฟ on 14 Aug. Nearly 300 athletes from India took part in it. Next day, we invited them to Embassyโ€™s Independent day function. These champions inspired and guided me. And made me remember my long forgotten dream.

๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ทReal Reason Pentagon Is Losing Sleep: Iranian Top Drones Tehran has developed a diverse fleet of strike drones designed for different combat roles. In addition to the famous Shaheds, here are the top-notch Iranian drones that keep Pentagon planners awake at night: 1๏ธโƒฃ Mohajer-6 โ€” The tactical backbone of Iran's proxy forces. This drone is a battlefield multiplier, equipped with electro-optical sensors and capable of firing the Almas anti-tank missile with pinpoint accuracy. It has been exported and used in conflicts from the Caucasus to the Red Sea, systematically destroying armored vehicles and fortifications; 2๏ธโƒฃ Mohajer-10 โ€” The next evolution in strike capability. It boasts triple the range (2,000 km) and double the flight endurance (24 hours) of its predecessor. Most critically, it can carry a 300 kg payload, including up to six smart bombs or cruise missiles, allowing it to saturate small sections of an air defense network; 3๏ธโƒฃ Kaman-22 โ€” Iran's "wide-body" combat drone. With a 3,000 km range, it can reach the furthest US outposts. It carries a 300 kg payload of air-to-ground missiles and glide bombs, designed to hit command centers and radar sites deep behind enemy lines, far from the front; 4๏ธโƒฃ Karrar โ€” The jet-powered speed demon. Unlike propeller drones, the Karrar races to its target at high subsonic speeds. It can be configured as a swarm leader or as a "mini-cruise missile" itself, carrying a 225 kg warhead to strike time-sensitive targets before defenses can react; 5๏ธโƒฃ Fotros โ€” The heavy hitter. With a 2,000 km range and a 30-hour flight time, it carries up to six missiles. Its large airframe allows for powerful, advanced communication relays, meaning it can guide other drones or missiles to their targets while staying outside the immediate kill zone; 6๏ธโƒฃ Arash-2 โ€” A loitering munition specifically designed to hunt radars. Once a US Patriot or THAAD battery turns on its radar, the Arash-2, with a range exceeding 1,000 km, can home in on that emission and destroy the system, effectively blinding the base's air defense; 7๏ธโƒฃ Hadid-110 (Dalaho) โ€” A jet-powered stealth loitering munition fresh from real combat. It hits 510 km/h with a radar cross-section below 0.02 square meters, evading F-15E and E-3C detection. With a 350 km range and a 30 kg warhead, it precisely targets Persian Gulf infrastructure, slipping past Western defenses silently; 8๏ธโƒฃ Meraj-521 โ€” A man-portable loitering munition that fits in a backpack. With a 5 km range and interchangeable 500g-1kg warheads, it silently strikes bunkers and armor via live video feed. Launched in swarms from ground or air, it dismantles fortified positions without exposing a single soldier to return fire.

The Curious Case of the Lift. ๐Ÿ” He lifted. 40 metres before the line. On the lap that decided pole. And it was the fastest thing he could legally do. It started on Friday morning in P1, with a number racing cars do not do: both Mercedes, dead flat at 298 km/h down the Hangar Straight, pedal pinned. Cars speed up. Cars slow down. They do not hold a constant with the driver's foot flat to the floor. I filed it as curious. Then Sprint Quali gave the case a body: pole by 0.011s, and the losing car crossed the line coasting. So I checked every lap. ๐Ÿ” 14 out of 14 qualifying laps. Both drivers. Every session. ๐Ÿ” Never once on a race run. ๐Ÿ” Same 40-metre window every time. Any wind. Any tyre. The suspects, eliminated: โŒ Driver error. 2 drivers, 2 sessions, an overnight telemetry review in between. โŒ Sandbagging. Nobody donates pole by 0.011. โŒ The wind. 16 lift points against the weather data. Correlation: 0.12. What's left is 1 line in the rulebook. When a quali battery runs dry, the power has to fade away slowly, by law. Unless the driver himself asks for less. So Mercedes spend every joule where the lap pays most, and end it with a foot instead of software. The driver is what keeps the car legal. The lift didn't lose pole. Flat to the line was never legally available. The lift was the fastest legal way home. PS: Ferrari took pole by solving the same lap backwards. Lowest drag on the grid, so the budget stretches: 322 km/h, still accelerating, flat across the line every single lap. 2 philosophies, 1 constraint, 0.011 between them. ๐Ÿ“จ Every chart and every number, in the newsletter: ๐ŸŽฅ The full investigation: ๐ŸŽง Prefer your strategy by podcast? Congratulations to President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu Dr Mohamed Muizzu for Setting a World Record with the Longest Standing Press Conference President of the Maldives, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, made history on May 3, 2025 โ€” World Press Freedom Day โ€” by delivering what is believed to be the longest official press conference held while standing at a presidential podium. President Muizzu began the press conference at 10:00 AM on May 3rd, and continued answering questions until 00:54 AM on May 4th, standing throughout the entire event except for short breaks during prayer times. The press session lasted nearly 15 hours, making it a remarkable demonstration of endurance, transparency, and commitment to democratic values. Held at the Presidentโ€™s Office, the conference saw President Muizzu respond to a wide array of questions from local and international journalists โ€” some of whom asked over 30 questions each. The President addressed every topic with patience, clarity, and respectful engagement. Previously, the world record for the longest press conference was believed to be held by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who conducted a 14-hour press marathon in 2019, seated at a table among reporters. In contrast, President Muizzu remained at the official presidential podium throughout, making his achievement not only longer in duration but also more physically demanding. This extraordinary event stands as a milestone for the Maldives and an inspiring example of press freedom and democratic dialogue in action.
