How are people going to vote their way out of this when every time the people support a candidate to challenge the system, the system either co-opts the candidate or pours in millions of dollars to crush their campaign? It happened with Bernie and Massie, and it will happen to the next candidate the people put their time, energy, and hope into too. It might be terrifying to admit, but it’s still the reality we face: When the system is this corrupt, voting changes nothing. Revolution, on the other hand, changes everything!

Social media doesn’t run cricket or any professional set up. Iyer is getting a lot of flax for this on Twitter & understandable so cause cricket twitter which is not even 1% of it don’t understand a team’s culture & what it takes to be at the top. While the media is well within rights to ask questions and look for stories & headlines. The fans are entitled to voice thier opinions which is also called “ outside noise “. Captain of a country or any team member is also well within his/ her rights to answer without disrespecting anybody. Don’t see any disrespect here. Also in professional sport if you focus on outside noise or a particular Individual in a team sport then you are losing focus on the main job. You have to stay locked in control the controllables & stay away from distraction.

Never seen this video until today but boy does Milton Friedman nail it in 1978. In 1978, Milton Friedman explains that the government bears no responsibility for alleviating poverty and that’s it is up to individuals to take action. He argued that the most effective way for people to exercise this responsibility is through the free enterprise system and the free market, which, in his view, have historically been the most powerful tools for reducing poverty. Now you can argue today that we don’t have a complete free enterprise system and I agree with that, but I haven’t seen anyone get out of poverty once they get on that government crack of free money for nothing.
