Yeah that dialogue makes it very clear that the Mimic is very much sentient. Yes It was repeating lines, but 1. It was picking the lines It wanted to repeat as a way to convey what it means(like Bumblebee) and 2. It did say some of Its own creation.

What I love most abt the Mimic that I don't see talked about much is how a big mystery behind it is it's level of sentience. Is it just a robot whose programming went haywire, or is it intelligent enough to know what it's doing and acting out of anger for the one who wronged him?
