I worked for the state, and lived in a tent in the middle of the city for 1.5 years, until I could save up enough for first, last, and deposit. Doing a lot better now, but this country does NOT value people enough. On all levels.

It has never been. My entire life has required me to team up with others to live in homes. Until I had enough money saved and even then at no time was I paid minimum wage They don't pay minimum wage for roofers. They actually paid minimum wage to build guitars at PRS

So I transport commercial vehicles for a living and so many people are buying RVs like crazy right now they are not renting or buying homes hell They are selling their homes and purchasing RVs and people are telling me they are saving tons of money purchasing RVs

Minimum wage should be exactly zero , anything else is communism. Forcing an employer (meaning anyone who hires someone to do anything) to pay a wage said employee may not be worth takes the wage away from someone that wants to succeed and provide for their family.

Get the fucking foreigners out of the country housing employment and wages would not be an issue at all! teens would have jobs again etc none of this would be happening! Foreign workers lower wages for all of us increase housing , food and healthcare costs for all of us!

Land value tax is a better idea than utilizing the minimum wage.

Most "MOST" homeless people are homeless because they SCREWED TOO MANY landlords for too long. The price of rent is a DIRECT result of the cost to EVICT, REPAIR and rehabilitate properties that these "Tenants" pretended to "Rent", a lot of whom NEVER had any intention of ever paying ANY rent. The fair housing act prevents landlords from discrimination, the only recourse from landlords is to place their property outside of these Squatters and Irresponsible peoples reach with HIGH RENTS and still there are those that damage and think its ok to destroy what is not theirs. Pretty soon the will no longer be able to shoplift anymore either as retailers are closing stores nation wide and switching to DELIVERY, where you pay before you receive, the downside to that is hunger and it has NOTHING TO DO WITH MINIMUM WAGE, it has to do with COST OF LOSS. As a good christian YOU should preach THOU SHALT NOT STEAL and not some socialist agenda of fueling the problem THEFT THEFT THEFT and then sit in your luxury car and flaunt your privilege

Only 1% of workers make min wage. Why are 99% of workers better than you? Do you think you get a raise if min workers do? I noticed you have a nice 80k suv. The problem is people buy 80k suvs, 2000 phones, 300 tattoos, go out to eat, so they don't live like they should to own

One further comment: Yes, homeless is a problem in the United States, but those that actually deserve help are in the minority and it is hard to determine who they are because the "ENTITLED" one's make the most noise. When someone has contributed to society loose's their home it is tragic, but when you spend your entire life living off welfare you have NO respect for others around you and their property. You should spend MORE time helping those who are in need and NOT those who are NOT and who are capable of some contribution, even if cleaning up the slums they create. Free housing "Comrade" ????

And a lot of old people are homeless. They don’t receive enough SS to live in an apartment. I don’t. At least my husband has enough money. So I have to stay.

We have created our own housing system, it is up and running, and we shall also be operating it from England for our American brothers and sisters. Together we win, on our own, we lose. WE THE PEOPLE need better systems with better values.
