#VPDNews: Vancouver Police have released video of a man who threatened a stranger with a knife in Gastown last week, and ask anyone who recognizes him to call police. The 62-year-old victim was walking on Water Street around 3 p.m. last Friday, May 9, when the suspect pulled a large knife out of his sleeve and pointed it at his face. Video of the incident shows the suspect and victim walking near Cambie and Water Street. The suspect shoved the victim from behind, pulled a knife, and jabbed it toward the victim’s face before walking away eastbound. The victim was not stabbed and did not sustain physical injuries. He reported the incident to police later that day. The suspect is a 35- 45-year-old man with a thin build. He was wearing dark pants, a dark jacket, and a baseball cap. Police do not believe the victim and suspect knew each other, and the motive is unclear. Anyone who recognizes the suspect, or anyone who witnessed the incident, is asked to call investigators at 604-717-4022.

Cop steals man's fentanyl and overdoses in police department.... In October of 2023 Deputy Marvin Morales of the Sacramento County Sheriff's department conducted a "suspicious subject stop". The deputy found what he thought was meth. He did not book the drugs into evidence. Instead, in full uniform, he retrieved a glass pipe along with a torch lighter from his patrol car and smokes the stolen drugs INSIDE of the sheriff's department bathroom. Turns out it was not meth, it was fentanyl. Good thing his buddies carry around Narcan. He later stated that he had smoked it to commit suicide. This was not the first time deputy Morales had done this. In August of 2023, he took a glass pipe with meth residue inside of it and smoked it "thee or four times to give him energy he needed to write in-custody reports". $ALERT: Weed police released bodycam of an officer involved in a shooting over drugs found in a car subwoofer. Officers in Weed, California, pulled over a driver after multiple driving infractions and requested a K9 unit for a narcotics investigation. The K9 then alerted the officers about a car stereo system the suspect had in the backseat of his car. Officers inspected the suspicious stereo that was not connected to the car and found what they described as a substantial amount of methamphetamines inside the stereo. Officers then approached the suspect, who was seated in the front seat of the patrol car, and the suspect drew a firearm from his waistband. Officers began firing and taking cover behind nearby trees. McDonald’s customer, Larry, said he and a friend were joking so loud that Mangione could hear them. The incident happened after the suspect secretly removed his left hand from his handcuffs. When officers began driving to jail, the suspect attempted to open the squad car's rear door, prompting the officers to get out of the car, and eventually climbed into the driver’s seat and took off. One of the officers managed to jump into the backseat of the vehicle. That officer then attempted to stop the suspect by tasing him and striking him on the side of the head with his firearm. The suspect opened the driver’s side door and jumped out after driving what police said was a distance of about 1,000 feet. At that point, the police officer was able to regain control of the patrol car, and the suspect was given medical assistance before being taken back into custody, where he faces numerous charges.
