Additionally, he works for Metro First Call, performing removals from nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and Hennepin County medical examiner’s office, often at crime scenes or natural death locations. He works about six days a week. Vance is married with five children and has two German shepherd pets. He has 30 years of experience in the food industry, which led to an opportunity in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). There, he worked on improving the food supply system for a population of 100 million, leveraging his agricultural experience from companies like Del Monte Foods and Golden Plum Poultry. After his employer showed no interest in African projects, Vance resigned to pursue farming and fishing initiatives in the DRC independently. To support his family, he began working in the funeral industry, which aligned with his schedule, and he is now taking classes at DMACC to learn more about the field.
