Jaylen Brown said at his Bloomberg event last night that this is probably the most focused he has been on basketball in his career. When asked about that after the Celtics’ win over the Raptors tonight, Brown, normally hands on with his off-court ventures, discussed the value of building a team he can trust. “I’ve been able to develop my team outside of basketball, where I have people that I can delegate to, that I can focus on everything else.” “Now, I’ve been able to assemble a team that I trust. So I can let them do that, and I can just focus on basketball, on the season.”

Jason Kidd spoke on why he’s the right fit for the Mavericks as a HC with multiple changes in the organization over the years. “Why do I think I’m the right guy? I’ve done this for a couple years now. I’ve been to the Finals, the WCF twice. Continuity was there. I’ve been around teams that have been sold; so I’ve seen everything. When I’ve come to work each day, I’ve never complained. I try to find a way to win, I love winning. Losing sucks, but it’s hard to win in this league.
