🇺🇸 GOV. WALZ 2023: "WE GIVE DRIVER'S LICENSES TO ANYONE HERE" - GOV. WALZ 2025: NOT WILLING TO EXPLAIN In 2023, Gov. Walz signed a bill letting all illegal immigrants get driver’s licenses in Minnesota: no citizenship needed. Now in 2025, those licenses are being used as photo ID to vote, and officials just admitted it can override incomplete voter registrations. So yeah, non-citizens can literally flash a state-issued license, sign a piece of paper saying “I swear I’m a citizen,” and vote. During the hearing, concerns were raised about how those licenses, now considered valid photo ID are being used by non-citizens to register and vote. Officials were asked whether someone without a Social Security number or full registration status could still cast a ballot if they simply presented a driver's license. They confirmed that yes, if a person brings that ID to the polls, it can override the system’s challenge and allow them to vote. Even if the person is not a citizen, showing the license and signing a simple sworn statement claiming eligibility is enough to get a ballot, as Official said. She also added: "If someone shows up and presents an acceptable ID document, it would override the challenge and allow them to vote. They have a bad Social Security number, or no Social Security... then they become incomplete. Someone who is not a citizen but presents a driver’s license at that point in the process could be allowed to vote." Source: Townhall.com
