Minnesota Winters

Born and raised in MN and I have no idea what the fuck she's talking about with the door handles. They are, at most, the temperature of the room they're in.

I have seen 39 Minnesota winters and I have NEVER waited 10 minutes to drive my car, nor has my hand ever been 'burned' by a frozen doorknob on the inside of the house.

After around -10° you don't even notice anything colder. Dress accordingly.

Had about -42 F last winter here in far north MN. Including wind chill was close to -75 F. Door handles work just fine but the striker plate sometimes will get frosty.

Born and raised in MN. Yes, it is cold. Yes, deaths can happen . However you two exaggerate juuuuuust a bit. I would argue a MN Summer is worse that a MN Winter. Tell me I’m wrong?

I’ve never touched an indoor door handle and had it be cold. This woman is making things up. You also don’t warm your car up for any considerable amount of time, just long enough to scrape the windows and defrost. 3-5 min max.

You have no idea. Lived here my entire life but great hunting for frosts!! Also never heard of a single person burning their hand from inside or frostbite. Takes a while. It’s not that bad.

Warming it up doesn’t necessarily have much to do with temperature…. It’s letting the fluids and everything do its thing and get where it needs to be before you romp down the highway
