Lot of mediocrity under Gus and just because two bad decisions were made on coaches doesn't retroactively elevate Gus. The program was moribund under him and it was time to go.

Gus started out 19-3 and finished 68-35. That makes him 49-32 his last 6.5 years. That's 60% which is not good enough.

What about 2019? You can’t really count 2020, it was the COVID year with no fans or anything lol and he still went 6-4 in an all SEC schedule, AU fans would do anything for that now 😭
