@CopernicusEU @esaoperations Far better accuracy can be had at sea level but can't really cover as much of the Earth's surface that way. Can't wait for the dicking around with the satellite's approximations!

@CopernicusEU @esaoperations Let me guess - you didn't get planning permission from Baubehörde and that's why you had to build that garden shed within 1.8 meters of height?

🚨🇺🇸 SENTINEL-6B JOINS ORBIT TO TRACK EARTH’S RISING SEAS NASA and its European partners launched Sentinel-6B from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9. The international mission will measure sea levels across 90 percent of the world’s oceans, continuing a record that began in 1992. Built with ESA, EUMETSAT, NOAA, and CNES, the satellite will refine global forecasts, improve flood prediction, and protect coastal communities. Sentinel-6B joins its twin, Sentinel-6 Michael Freilich, expanding NASA’s decades-long ocean watch. Source: NASA

✅ Signals acquired. FLEX and Sentinel-3C are in orbit and healthy. Following launch on Vega-C, the two Earth observation satellites now begin commissioning. Together, they will advance our understanding of Earth's vegetation and support the continued monitoring of our oceans, land, ice and atmosphere. 🌍 🔗

Mission VA267: Best of the launch campaign On February 12th, 2026, Arianespace, with Ariane 6, successfully launched 32 Amazon Leo satellites into Low Earth Orbit. From the arrival of the satellites in French Guiana to liftoff from Europe’s Spaceport, mission VA267 was the result of months of preparation and coordination. This recap video takes you through the full journey: - Arrival of the 32 Amazon Leo satellites in French Guiana - Preparation of the Amazon Leo satellites in Kourou - Integration, encapsulation and launch operations - Liftoff of Ariane 6 carrying 32 Amazon Leo satellites into Low Earth Orbit - Successful separations in orbit ✨ Mission VA267 marked the first Arianespace launch supporting the deployment of Amazon’s Low Earth Orbit constellation, whose mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. This mission also initiated the first of 18 Ariane 6 launches contracted by Amazon Leo, laying the foundations for a long-term partnership supporting the rollout of a global connectivity infrastructure. 👉 Watch the full mission highlights below ⬇️ #LaunchingAmbitions ArianeGroup European Space Agency CNES Centre spatial guyanais
