Statement of the Philippine Coast Guard “CCG ILLEGALLY BLOCKS PCG HUMANITARIAN MISSION” Today, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) undertook a humanitarian mission involving the BRP Cabra and BRP Cape Engaño, aimed at delivering vital food and supplies to our personnel stationed aboard the BRP Teresa Magbanua, on extended patrol in Escoda Shoal. The PCG recognizes that white hulls are unique instruments of diplomacy that promotes peace and maintain harmony and stability in the region.

Our Government has a plan to significantly increase the number of public EV charging pointsacross New Zealand, with a goal of having 10,000 charging points ready by 2030. It’s important we do this to give Kiwis the confidence to purchase EVs to alleviate range anxiety and know that the charging infrastructure is in place.

An Iranian MiG-29 flew over Tehran today, the Air Force describer the flight as a "routine mission" to ensure sustainable security, and that such procedures will continue in the future. It’s unclear whether this is directly related to what happend last night, but one way or another it’s related to ensuring safety against future attacks.

I am grateful for all the support France has provided to Ukraine, and for Emmanuel Macron personal support. Today, Emmanuel and I spoke primarily about security of Ukraine and Europe, as well as global security in light of the events in the Middle East and the Gulf region. Of course, today and always, Emmanuel and I maintain substantive coordination on issues related to our protection in Ukraine and our defense. We devote significant attention to joint defense production. We discussed both bilateral projects and the SAFE instrument. We identified steps and specific decisions that can deliver strong results. This concerns both air defense and combat aviation. It is important to continue putting pressure on Russia over this war in order to achieve genuine security and a lasting peace. The European Union’s resolve, and that of other partners around the world, must remain firm – it must work in a way that leaves Russia with no illusions. Russia must end this war. And I am grateful to everyone who is helping us in this effort.

And while only air defense systems can effectively counter ballistic threats, in Ukraine, we have developed other, significantly more cost-effective solutions to combat drones. These solutions have already proven their effectiveness against various types of drones, which is why Qatar is so interested in our experience. Ukraine has always said that we are ready to share our expertise and help those who can also help us strengthen our own protection in Ukraine. Qatar is ready for long-term cooperation across various areas. It is important to restore stability in the region so that no one suffers from Iran's terrorist strikes. And we support an approach where, by helping one another, we increase security worldwide.

A team of Ukrainian experts is working in Qatar, sharing our experience and expertise. I met with our team here today and received a briefing on their work. Our experts have already conducted an overall assessment of the security situation, Qatar’s capabilities to counter aerial threats, and have developed concrete solutions to strengthen the protection of its airspace.
