Man I really miss how serious and fun bowl games used to be. Actually never seen the highlights of this game, but definitely a good one.

Texas A&M running back Ja'Mar Toombs rushed 35 times for 193 yards and scored three touchdowns, earning the game's Offensive Player of the Game honors. The 2000 Independence Bowl (the famous "Snow Bowl") was such a fun game to watch. The game Made an instant classic Snow Superstar out of Ja'Mar Toombs. He had a legendary punishing running style. He recording 1,638 scrimmage yards and 27 touchdowns during his three-year in College Station, TX. Such a miserable game to be at. Exciting at times, but ultimately miserable. Poured snow most of the game and def never expected that in Shreveport of all places. Crazy.

Frozen in the stands and stuck on an iced bridge at midnight on new year’s eve. Never made it to the casino. Looking back, I’m not sure snow was in even in the forecast.

Fun game to watch

We were at this game. It snowed 6” during the game. Crazy game. Absolutely brutal that we lost. AND it was NYE on Y2K!! The bus back to the hotel had a hard time navigating the roads.
