CCV is a total family disaster where every guy has serious issues, making it a thrilling cocktail of flawed characters. Arvind Swami’s Varadhan is all about control—no emotions, just raw power. He doesn’t care much for his wife, brothers, or even his parents. On the other hand, Thyagu (Arun Vijay) is cooler-headed but just as power-driven, and Simbu’s Ethi? Well, he’s detached to the point of hilarity—his “Naan varanuma?” when told his dad is in the hospital is both brutal and hilarious. What makes the movie gripping is how these morally gray men constantly scheme and betray each other. While the brothers are losing their minds, Vijay Sethupathi’s Rasool is coolly waiting for his moment to strike, providing the perfect counterbalance to all the chaos. His calm and calculating approach adds a whole other layer to the tension. Mani Ratnam nails it with this one. It’s more than just a gangster flick—it’s about fragile relationships breaking under the weight of ambition and betrayal. The best part? Watching these characters, bound by blood, slowly tear each other apart for power. The women? They had some powerful moments too, which is refreshing in a male-dominated narrative. Honestly, there were multiple standout scenes, and I can’t wait to watch it again tonight! And now add ARR and a bunch of other amazing technicians... This IS FIRE for movie connoisseurs.

During the release time, many of the online medias reported it as the comeback of maniratnam and personally i enjoyed this one from the theatre. I am glad that the movie is getting much recognition nowadays. (CCV is also a rip off from New world korean movie)

Mani Ratnam demonstrated to the industry how to execute a multi-starrer in just 50 days. Typically, with such a large cast, production expenses and time would skyrocket. Instead, he flipped the script, making the film a financial success. And as always, ARR's music was on another level!

Dialogues were class. Some of the best in any MR movie.
