That friend always says to me, “Ah… Seonghwa, it must be really hard for you.” And I tell him, “The work you do yourself always feels the hardest. We would at least meet once during the holidays, but in these past three years, there’s always been one or two people who couldn’t make it, or sometimes I couldn’t make it. It’s gotten harder and harder to gather. So now we say, “Well, at least it’s lucky if we can see each other at someone’s wedding.” Because I travel abroad often, I might not be able to go, and since there are friends in Jinju too, when they get married, they’ll live there, right? When I think about that, I realize, “Ah, I might not be able to go.” So it’s a bit sad, but it also means that each of us is settling into our own place in life. JOONGDUNK PRAEW PODCAST #DearMyselfxJoongDunk : so can i ask this—after working together and going through both good and bad times, hardships, happiness, and success and embracing all of that as JoongDunk… how does being “JoongDunk” feel to you both now? 🌻if you ask me right now i’d say it feels really good. we understand each other more now. of course there were times when we didn’t understand each other we just talk things out—like what the other person this khun (🌞) doesn’t like and then i simply don’t do those things. for me i’m not someone who wants to have problems with anyone in the first place. so if i know he doesn’t like something i simply won’t do it. and honestly it goes both ways—we share what we don’t like and then adjust to meet each other halfway 🌞what JoongDunk is today huh? it has changed a lot. there have been many versions many eras. in the early days we were just two innocent kids who didn’t think much. but now we’ve grown up—we’ve been through a lot together. there was even a time - we’ve been at a point where we almost breaking up… there was a time when it felt like we couldn’t go on together - like it was going to end for sure — 100%. but in the end, we have to thank the seniors and the adults around us—we were lucky to have people guiding us : and today how much do you rely on each other—in work and in life? 🌻it’s to the point that we can’t even count the days we don’t see each other We see each other almost every day—especially lately. it’s basically every day now. it’s become a habit, but that’s exactly what can make us careless 🌞when we’re that close and see each other all the time sometimes we don’t realize that the things we do unintentionally might hurt the other person. so the closer we are the more we have to care there was a time when we had to sit down and make a deal about this. cause we got so used to working and being together we stopped greeting each other. like, we’d come to work, walk past each other - sit doing makeup spacing out… and then we realized “hey this isn’t okay” so we made a rule: from now on whenever we come to work, you have to hug me once or say hi or touch me—something to let me know “ i’m here” It’s just a small rule but it makes everything better 🌻and same when leaving—we have to say goodbye like “see you” 🌞you can leave first that’s fine but you have to tell me first “please tell me”

“how does writing from kind of a vampire’s perspective challenge you, as opposed to writing something from your perspective, if that makes sense?” 🦮 we’re in comic-con right now talking about the dark moon. we started that since our debut, and we built that kind of its own fandom base. and, like, it’s so cool to see now because to be 100% honest, we didn’t know that it would be like this when we started it. but like you said, it might be challenging to kind of all thread that together in one album, have that vampire-like story also. but we think of it as like a benefit almost because we know that there’s people… there’s a huge fandom around vampires itself, and we’re very lucky that we built the space around that world that we’re able to kind of talk about it in our album as well. and overall, i think it’s just new ways or ne doors that can be opened into this big kind of thing that we build. yeah, not just our album, not just us, but also just enhypen itself. 🦮 some people might just listen to our music, and they might just like listening to music, that might be it. but some people might really enjoy the vampire aspects of the album. there’s different types of people that can just come together into one album. i think it is challenging at times to time, but we think of it as just another factor that can be used as a benefit.
