Its extremely mediocre game Im sorry, its like a 6/10 game. It would have been way better if it was a film or series.

The only thing about Mixtape that is forced is the game itself. Came out of nowhere, masquerading as an indie title despite being developed by a billionaire's daughter and handing out lavish bribery gifts to content creators. And the most pathetic and effeminate men love it.

The hate seems like a reaction to what seems like forced praise. I understand that plenty of people have enjoyed their time, but it's just not sensible to claim this 3 hour telltale game is one of the best games ever made.

I was around that age that Mixtape is based in, the game brings back such great memories, of me and my friends hanging out skating, listening to music and yes looking at a porn stash hidden in the forest. So it's a love letter to my youth. And a lot of people will never understan

i heard if you don't control anything the game just guide you, everthing is linear, i hope you can do choices to change the story , 3 hours is pretty short for a kinda storytelling kinda of game

I mean not quite, I’d describe it as a series of mini games tied together by a thematic journey. These kinds of games are more exploring video games as a medium to deliver art so enjoy them for that. And yeahh it’s defo on the shorter side but it’s beautifully presented and genuinely touching and engaging so it’s quality really makes up for it, for me

The hate is mainly coming from how bought out the game review journalism is. All the high ratings were due to payouts. It wasn't genuine.

Writing is terrible, plot is reflective of a youth plagued by perpetual self-victimization and monstrous levels of mass retardation, and the ending encourages the use of arson as a means for conflict resolution. Stop mo look is cool tho!

It basically came from Barbara Streisand after some court meeting she went through, and she basically didn't want her thing, whatever it was, to be released in public, only for like TONS of people to be like "WAIT WHAT THING?". Before that thing was nothing, and now EVERYBODY knows it. A very good example of this is Hogwarts Legacy. Before it was just a casual Harry Potter themed Adventure wizard game, but because of the drama regarding J.K Rowling, you have TONS of people saying "BAN THE WIZARD GAME" "#BANTHEWIZARDGAME", and they used this exact Streisand Effect, using all that hate actually to help boost monitization for the game EVEN further; effectively horseshoeing their own haters. What started with Haters hated on HW, or in this case, Mixtape, now made them EVEN more famous, and made those Haters look like complete idiots.
