So I never grew up in this time but it really made me feel something I’ve never felt before for a time I didn’t exist in. They really captured that child-like feeling of a massive world being your canvas and yours to explore and change. I really enjoyed it

I look at it like this, can I relate to the deeper things going on in a movie like sinners no, was it my favorite movie of last year? yes. Same with a show I watched recently Them, incredibly haunting and very difficult to watch but it was incredible.

I’m white. Was a teen growing up in that time. I even skateboarded. Grew up with this music. This should relate to me. Thing is…… i’m european. Even though my youth had the same ingredients, it was nothing like this. But i know the feeling its going for.

I don't think you HAVE to have developed the skill necessarily, but you just gotta be open. I grew up with both Sabrina the teenage witch, and fresh prince in bell air (in sweden+girl/woman), and even if I couldn't really relate to the kids in LiS2, its a good game +

It feels like a lot of the angry response people are also conflating too much of the game's experiences that boil down to moments from entertain with their own memories of that entertainment that then informed their childhoods loosely, not directly; so they feel attacked

I didn’t grow up in that kind of environment or hang around people like the ones in the game… but at one point I was 18 looking at an unknown future, not knowing where all my friends would end up and how they would change. That’s the thing in the game that I think is more universally relatable.

I was expecting there to be a lot more pop culture references in the game from a visual standpoint. The bedroom sequence was a big letdown for this. They couldn't get one notable artist to let them use a poster? REALLY?!
