I did a search on memory erasure treatment, and it is a thing. I find it to be scary, because intense trauma causes memories to be split off and bricked up. Why do so on purpose, except for nefarious reasons?

It is definitely a thing. They are hoping it erases memory from the areas it’s compartmentalized in as well as from ever coming up in conscious memory. Really crazy…
