mlb just posted this video… lindor captain ?????

aaaand it’s been taken down

David Wright announces Lindor as the Mets Captain during his number retirement ceremony… BOOK IT #LGM

It would be awesome if Lindor got the C passed to him from David.

The description says "potential captain". There's no way they post that if there isn't something in the works.

Holy shit this gets me hype. Put that C on Fransisco’s chest!

Honestly would not he surprised if Lindor gets named captain at some point after Wright’s number retirement. Probably in the off season.

I hope so, he deserves it.

Holy crap, that gave me chills.

yeah no shot he isn't announced as new captain by end of the day saturday

Lindor might not be home grown but he has completely embodied what it means to be a Metropolitan man, and 100% deserves to be named captain, in my opinion. He represents this city and the organization as well as every other captain before him

MLB leaked it lol. And it confirms what we’ve all known will happen and should happen. I presume this will be announced at DW’s number retirement, and possibly by David himself, which would be epic

He deserves it 🤝

come on people, can David Wright just have his day!!??? There is plenty of time later for Lindor to be name captain!!!!

I really think its happening.

They're retiring his number this weekend....

Where there’s smoke there’s fire 👀👀👀

If this happens Saturday when I’m at Citi I dont know if I will be able to watch the game. lol I’m already emotional enough for David, my favorite who I just got to meet. And Lindor is already so prominent in my book.

Has to be

Well well well 👀

sny documentary more likely

People actually care about this? Just win ball games.

That's interesting...

@Lets86it Have David put it on him

Pete Alonso is who we all thought David weight was going to be. Let’s be real.

I’ve never understood the hesitation to make Lindor captain

👀👀👀

we know he’s gonna give it to Lindor when his number is retired lol

Maybe you are unto something 🤔

Good grab

No complaints here if/when they do. Would be amazing if D. Wright announced on Saturday that Lindor is the new Captain

@jwr020819 Do it lady
