MLK and other Black Civil Rights Leaders were calling for special programs specifically for Black Americans whose ancestors endured slavery and Jim Crow and predicted people like you would call it reverse discrimination Stop lying about history that your family never experienced

"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character." - Martin Luther King Jr. If that isn’t a call for meritocracy you don’t understand the English language and all you continue to do is promote racism by recognizing race even exists. Crack open an evolutionary science book. We’re all African if you go back far enough. Race is the child of racism. Stop giving racism a voice by placing emphasis on the amount of melanin in a human’s skin. We are all one race, the human race. And if you don’t know the only difference between humans genetically is that everyone who left sub Saharan Africa has Neanderthal DNA in our genome. And if you read some history you’ll know that everyone has enslaved everyone throughout the course of human history. Even the Industrial Revolution is measured by how much output machines are compared to slave labor just as a vehicle is compared to horsepower. Listen to Morgan Freeman when he says to stop talking about race altogether. He’s right. Time to evolve your thinking and use science as the foundation.

@ninaturner I didn't read all that but in the I Have a Dream Speech he called for reparations for Black Americans and only after reparations are made can we all get along Everyone from the far Left to the far Right take MLK out of context to fit their agenda

No matter the revisionist history, the straight up DENIAL of words spoken & texts written about our lineage and heroes thereof...we can always find a source. I love that

Tracing a direct line from Martin Luther to modern anti-cult leaders, the article exposes how historical religious intolerance has evolved into a global threat to democracy.

You were never a slave

@bbwslayer23 The real problem is that they're not color blind

The problem today is black culture takes zero accountability for its failings. Every problem a black person faces is never their fault but it’s always whitey screwing them.

Before the civil rights movement black families were outpacing all other ethnic groups in the U.S., including whites, in wealth gains, education gains, lower divorce rates and other metrics. The real roadblock to the black family catching up with all other groups of people was the civil rights movement that redirected efforts of individual hard work and progress to reliance on government programs and manufactured racial outrage.

I'm not denying anything you've experienced, but Affirmative Action has been in place since 1961. Statists say it would take 780 years to bridge the gap at this pace. Maybe there are better ways to approach this

It's just discrimination

Fuck MLK
