Literally just saw this on tiktok...man said this starts at R550k and top of the range is R680k...which is around that 1 series base🙆🏽‍♂️ so all this is equivalent to an entry level 1 series...

I hear him but a Jos in South Africa isn’t dumping his 135i for a Tiggo bro 😂💀. There’s just no way … I’d rather get a high mileage BMW M than a Tiggo Pro !!😂😂💀

The Germans are loosing their grip on the car market in SA, and the main factor is the pricing of their cars, @MercedesBenz_SA @VolkswagenSA and @BMW_SA But now even the Koreans are starting to go off the rail with their pricing @KiaSouthAfrica and @HyundaiSA

Customers are tired of itemized billing. All this additional extras business has gone too far, what used to be luxurious is now basic and no one in their right would want to pay extra for basics.

Should’ve made this example with a Mercedes, but he’s spot on. Customers want bang for buck, and of late, the Germans have being offering neither .

Dumping them to go for a Kia, is a nightmare shift, the drive ,performance etc is different. I bought a Kia Sonet in January, now it's having a jerking gearbox, I took it twice to the dealer and they say the fault has been referred to Korea.

And second hand car market for German cars is a death trap. Out of warrant German car will bankrupt you. After the initial excitement of buying one, reality kicks in when something needs to be fixed

That's exactly what I said, their prices are ridiculous. Imagine paying a million rand + for a mere BMW 3 series.
