it's not resin, it's acrylic :) the masking prevents the laser from marring the surface of the acrylic as it cuts

Oooh, so do you buy like essentially premade acrylic sheets? I've never heard of people making acrylic before.

Yep, I buy premade sheets in lots of colors, textures, and finishes. Cut them like puzzle pieces and assemble!

I (personally) hate when sellers peel the tape ;; I like keeping it on cause then it gets all messed up and then I peel it and it's like brand new again :D

Aw there's a lot of errors in these sheets typically though, if I don't peel my acrylic you'll oftentimes get B or C grade pieces bc there were errors in the native sheets :c
