Mobile store employee steals 400 dollars from elderly customer while fixing her phone. Houston Police officers responded to a fraud call after an elderly customer reported that $400 was fraudulently transferred from her Cash App account straight to a store employee’s account. The victim, Paula, had visited a Metro... by T-Mobile store seeking assistance because her phone was low on storage and wouldn’t let her download apps. The employee on duty, identified as Kayla Allen, informed the customer that she needed a brand-new phone. While Kayla was setting up the new device, Paula stepped outside to smoke a cigarette. According to police and the victim's statement, Kayla accessed Paula’s Cash App without authorization while left alone with the device, transferring $400 directly to her own personal Cash App account. A second attempt to transfer an additional $500 was declined by the bank. When Houston Police officers arrived at the store, they verified the transaction records directly from the victim's phone. The Cash App confirmation explicitly listed Kayla Allen as the recipient, complete with her name and profile photo. A background check by responding officers revealed that Kayla had a prior criminal history involving identity theft and credit card fraud. Despite being confronted with digital evidence, Kayla denied any deliberate wrongdoing, claiming she didn't see the money come in and suggesting someone else might have done it. She did agree to give the money back to the victim. Officers subsequently placed Kayla under arrest, where she was officially charged with Scheme to Defraud. In an audio recording taken by Kayla’s boyfriend, the neurologist responds, saying, “it's less likely a tumor” and that it is his “gut impression it was caused by the vaccine.” When Kayla questions the doctor as to whether many people have had something similar happen to them, the doctor responds, saying “many people have had it.” Later, Kayla would learn that she had developed transverse myelitis, a condition that interrupts the transmission of messages along the spinal cord nerves throughout the body.
