A group of people traveling on a night bus from Kumasi to Takoradi at dawn on February 4 were stopped by armed robbers on the highway. The attackers reportedly stated they were only interested in cash, not mobile phones. Several buses were intercepted, with the victims’ bus being the second from Kumasi. Passengers were forced to lie face-down for over 30 minutes while the robbers carried out the operation before fleeing with the cash.

Around 8:50 a.m. Tuesday, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a crash involving a Jaguar that slammed into the rear of a school bus and became wedged underneath it. Authorities said there were no students on board at the time of the collision. The bus driver was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. Video of the incident shows the Jaguar driver failing to slow down as the school bus approached a bus stop. The driver was cited for following too closely.
