It's one of those times where the 'married with kids' ending feels truly earned by the narrative, to the point that it utterly makes sense for the character, and is not just 'well women are supposed to want kids, aren't they' crap like it often is...

I used to hate this ending because I thought Katniss was a tough no nonsense woman and blah blah. But I realized she can be the same brave capable warrior and live happily with the guy who supported her throughout her whole journey.

Honestly this is kind of funny because I remember the book ending of the series left me feeling more hollow and cold, despite the movie and book ending being the same on the surface.
