I can speak from the lens of a young person who's growing up in an America where housing is just out of reach. It feels like student debt or medical debt ends up creating a negative capital situation for a lot of young people. Young people are negative in capital. So when you can't accumulate capital in the form of housing or in the form of investing, people don't feel loyal to a system.

Mockler: Yeah, the GDP number is a bit misleading because as you look closer into it, you can see that the vast majority of this comes from rising health care costs. Over the past nine and a half months or so, Donald Trump has continually claimed that we are in a golden age of America, that we brought in $18 trillion via tariffs. But most of the macroeconomic indicators are not looking too good. For example, you can look at unemployment. It's up. Inflation is up. Americans are struggling. You can just talk to anybody about it. And the problem is trump is now just throwing out the word affordability like that's going to fix anything. Last night he was on Fox News and they read him a post from one of his supporters, a three time trump voter and the three time trump voter was like, listen, we're struggling here. Main street does not reflect wall street, and it's bad. And trump's answer was no. Prices are down except for beef. He essentially is gaslighting and saying prices are down.

Rogin: This is the most unpopular war in American history by far, and for good reason. And the way that these things work is that the longer that it goes on, the popularity goes down, not up over time. And that is a calamity for the Republican party. But that's not what's important right now. What's important is that it's a calamity for the United States of America, for our national security, for our alliances abroad, for putting our troops in danger with no clear strategy of what achieves a victory and how to get them out of there. And how does this end? And without any of those answers, everybody can see that the administration is flailing about. And the way we know they have no strategy because the strategy changes every single day with various justifications that don't make any sense when compared to one another. And that's where we are. And that's a pretty sad state of affairs. And yes, that's going to be terrible for Republicans in November, but that's really not the most worst thing about it. And Donald Trump doesn't seem to care about that anyway.
