I’m thrilled to present something Marián Marčiš and I have been working on for the past few weeks. To my knowledge, this is something that has never been done before, and this is our first model that includes underground parts. Behold a photogrammetric 3D model of Zona X! Zona X (also known as Lanlakuyoc or Lancacuyo) is a mysterious site about a mile North-East of Sacsayhuaman. It’s a big limestone outcrop intersected by a network of tunnels and narrow passageways, some open to the sky, and others going deep underground. It also features several right-angled cuts in the bedrock ("hanan pacha" style) whose function remains unknown to this day, as well as a section of a megalithic wall. It is also said that this site once had a chincana entrance, possibly connecting to Sacsayhuaman, that has now been sealed off. I have an idea of which passage could lead to an entrance, but it remains to be confirmed. It's a true stone labyrinth in which it's easy to get lost, which is why I wanted to create a 3D map of it. I wanted to get a better idea of how these passages are oriented in relation to each other and where they could lead. It took several visits to the site to map all the passages I could crawl through. Some of these passageways become too narrow to squeeze through for an adult of average build, but seem to extend much deeper. It took Marián a LOT of work (and a lot of processing power) to combine and align the thousands of photos from a drone and extracted from a 360° ground video needed to create the 55 millions triangles that make up this model. I’m not sure how he did it but he pulled it off. He really deserves his title of photogrammetry wizard. Please make sure to give him the follow he deserves Marián Marčiš. The video doesn't show all the passages I filmed for the creation of the model. We decided to only show the main ones, and some of the most prominent stone carvings in order to keep the video relatively short. The site has many more nooks and crannies not shown in the video that are just begging to be explored. I hope we can complete this model in the future. Until then, enjoy this one!

Andrej Karpathy just made one of the most interesting arguments about AI model design that most people are completely missing. His take is that frontier AI models are not too big because the technology is complex and too big because the training data is garbage. When you or I think of the internet, we picture Wall Street Journal articles, Wikipedia entries, serious writing. That is not what a pretraining dataset looks like. When researchers at frontier labs look at random documents from the actual training corpus, it is stock ticker symbols, broken HTML, spam, gibberish. One estimate puts Llama 3's information compression at just 0.07 bits per token meaning the model has only a hazy recollection of most of what it trained on. So we build trillion parameter models not because we need a trillion parameter brain but because we need a trillion-parameter compression engine to squeeze some intelligence out of a firehose of noise. Most of those parameters are doing memory work, not cognitive work. Karpathy's prediction is separate the two entirely. Build a cognitive core, a model that contains only the algorithms for reasoning and problem-solving, stripped of encyclopedic memorization and pair it with external memory that it can query when it needs facts. He thinks a cognitive core trained on high-quality data could hit genuine intelligence at around one billion parameters. For reference, today's flagship models run between 200 billion and 1.8 trillion parameters with most of that weight dedicated to remembering the internet's slop. The trend is already moving his direction. GPT-4o operates at roughly 200 billion parameters and outperforms the original 1.8 trillion-parameter GPT-4. Inference costs for GPT-3.5-level performance dropped 280-fold between 2022 and 2024 driven almost entirely by smaller, cleaner, better-architected models. The real bottleneck in AI right now is not compute but rather data quality.

This week, I testified before the Select Committee on Effective Postsecondary Career Technical Education (CTE) and Workforce Development Programs and why it matters for young people furthest from opportunity. For the last several years, Alliance for Boys and Men of Color has been helping lead the fight to build real, paid pathways into good careers for opportunity youth. COYA is about more than training. It’s about building relationships between community-based organizations, labor, education, and employers so young people who’ve been disconnected from school or work can earn while they learn and move into high-paying, stable careers. Over the last two years, California has made a historic investment in opportunity youth through the California Opportunity Youth Apprenticeship (COYA) that we established. Across two rounds, COYA has awarded more than $46 million to 80 programs to build and expand registered pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship pathways. These investments are supporting thousands of young people who face barriers to employment—connecting them to paid, high-quality career pathways in high-demand industries through partnerships with community-based organizations, labor, education, and employers. When asked about who was present during these conversations, her timeline slipsSo ask yourself this, How does a rookie officer, fresh on the job, go from confidently telling federal investigators about something suspicious, to suddenly claiming she “can’t remember,” “misspoke,” or “had a distorted memory”? Is she being coached? Intimidated? Controlled? Is this what the thin blue line looks like up close? A line you dare not cross, or your career goes up in smoke? Elon Musk just described a project so large that most people will assume he is exaggerating (Save this). He is not. In the video, Musk lays out the central problem facing every AI company on earth, the entire global chip industry is on a path to produce roughly 100 gigawatts of AI compute per year. That sounds like a lot until you understand that his companies alone Tesla, SpaceX, and xAI will need orders of magnitude more than that. His answer is the TerraFab. It is a joint chip factory spanning 100 million square feet, ten times the size of Tesla's Gigafactory Texas announced in March 2026, with Grimes County, Texas commissioners approving the full scale facility site just last week. The goal is one full terawatt of AI compute output per year. For context, 1 terawatt is 1,000 gigawatts twice the current total electricity consumption of the United States. SpaceX has already committed an initial $55 billion to the prototype phase, with total investment estimates ranging into the trillions. Here is why this matters for Micron specifically. In the video, Musk named Nvidia's Rubin chips as the reference design for TerraFab's first orbital deployments, and said "You're going to need a lot of memory to go with that." A billion full radical equivalent chips per year, each requiring stacks of high bandwidth memory, that is the demand signal Micron just received from one of the most capital-intensive projects in human history. And Micron already cannot keep up with what exists today. Micron's entire 2026 HBM output is fully sold out contracted before the year began. HBM4 entered volume production ahead of schedule and sold out immediately. The structural reason Micron wins here is simple. Every AI chip ever built Nvidia H100s, Rubin chips, custom ASICs, TPUs is useless without high-bandwidth memory stacked directly on top of it. There are only three companies in the world that supply HBM at scale, Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron. Samsung has had quality issues, SK Hynix is supply constrained. Micron is the only US headquartered HBM manufacturer which matters enormously given CHIPS Act subsidies, domestic procurement requirements, and the political push to keep critical AI memory production on American soil. Naveen Naidu used over 900 million tokens during testing—and it let him ship production features for Monologue at both high speed and quality. - It has serious conceptual clarity. It can hold a complex plan in its head over hours of work, without getting distracted by existing code. This makes it the first model that we've tested that can perform well on complex refactors requiring deleting and reimagining an substantial existing codebase. - It's a very good writer. day 4 of building an OpenCode clone from scratch i have a newfound appreciation for how good this tool is, and how much attention to detail was put into making it. here is what i managed to clone, and problems i've encountered: 1. scrollable autocomplete. mouse click to select, mousewheel to scroll, arrow keys that auto-scroll when you hit the edge, enter to confirm, sounds simple, but remember that this is a CLI tool, not a web app, all of this has to be implemented from the ground up 2. toast notifications in the terminal, success/error/info variants, auto-dismiss, easily triggerable through context 3. modal dialogs with backdrop overlay, click-outside-to-close, escape to dismiss, focus trapping so the content behind stops capturing input, again, seems simple, but the concept of a "dialog" does not exist in the terminal, so implementing it is way harder 4. built a responder chain for keyboard input, only the topmost layer owns the keyboard. ctrl+c walks down: dialog > command menu > clear input > exit. had to invent this because there's no built-in focus management in a terminal 5. generic command actions. each command gets a context with toast, dialog, and navigate (easily extendable for further features) 6. react-router with a memory router in a terminal app. navigate between screens with the same patterns as web 7. (mock) session view with user/bot message components. thinking indicator, model info footer, mode-colored borders when you use opencode, you don't think about these things, but there is a million little details they thought of. absolutely insane and cracked team Anomaly

President Zelenskyy met with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Brussels - the first meeting since the strain in relations This marks the first personal contact between the leaders of Ukraine and Poland following the escalation of the Polish-Ukrainian dispute. Not only the quality of bilateral relations but also the security and future of the entire Eastern European region depend on Ukrainian-Polish mutual understanding. This is precisely why current disputes over historical memory require exceptional caution. In the face of Russian aggression, any rift between Ukraine and Poland quickly becomes a matter of regional security. Poland has every right to its own memory - to the pain of Volyn, to the demand for a dignified commemoration of the victims, and to an honest conversation about the difficult pages of our shared history. This pain cannot be minimized or dismissed as secondary. However, precisely because Poland is not currently waging a war on its own territory and does not live under the daily emotional strain experienced by Ukrainian society, a particular strategic restraint is expected of it. Poland's strength as a regional leader lies not in publicly disciplining Ukraine, but in maintaining the broader framework of shared security. Ukraine is operating under the conditions of an existential war. Its symbolic policy often stems from the need to restore historical continuity that was disrupted by empires for centuries; many controversial figures and movements are perceived here primarily through the prism of resistance to Moscow. This does not justify all of Kyiv's decisions. Ukraine must also learn to distinguish more clearly between anti-imperial resistance and moral responsibility for the dark pages of the past - it has enough of its own heroes to build a pantheon without unnecessary recourse to the most painful historical codes. And yet, the responsibility of the sides is asymmetric. Ukraine is fighting, losing cities, people, energy, and psychological resources. Poland has more room for cold strategic thinking - meaning its reaction should be statesmanlike rather than emotional. Poland can and should speak about history. But this conversation cannot become a tool for pressuring Ukraine, an argument against its European future, or material for domestic political mobilization. In such a form, memory stops healing the past and begins destroying the future. The greatest danger is when it turns into the language of ultimatums: that is when the dialogue between allies devolves into a mutual settling of scores. This is exactly what Russia wants. Moscow does not necessarily need a military victory to weaken Europe's eastern flank. It is enough to shake the trust between Warsaw and Kyiv, amplify mutual grievances, and weaponize historical memory. Therefore, mutual understanding is not a gesture of goodwill, but a vital component of the security architecture of Central and Eastern Europe. Poland plays a unique role here: as Ukraine's advocate in Europe, a pillar of NATO's eastern flank, and a state that helps the region speak with its own voice. But for this to happen, it is crucial for Poland not to slide back into the patterns of a "big brother" or a moral arbiter. True leadership lies elsewhere - in acknowledging one's own historical pain without letting it destroy the alliance, in demanding the truth without humiliating the partner, in remembering the past without losing the future. Ukraine has its own share of the work to do as well. It must speak with Poland more attentively, sensitively, and maturely - acknowledging that certain symbols of its liberation movement are associated by Poles not with freedom, but with trauma and death. Poland has a chance to demonstrate not only solidarity but also mature leadership. Ukraine has the opportunity to show that its struggle for statehood does not require silencing discussion of its complex past. Both states have the chance to prove that historical truth and a strategic alliance do not contradict each other. This opportunity must not be lost: the cost of misunderstanding will not be measured in diplomatic crises, but in the security and future of the entire region.

Why I Supported Peter Obi in 2023—and Will Again in 2027 (If He Runs) My support for Peter Obi isn’t about hype. It’s based on lived experience and years in the development sector. I’ve seen enough to know that true, lasting development doesn’t come from roads and bridges alone but from building people. The hype of being called Mr. Infrastructure is good for politics but building people is better. Building roads or chasing the Atlantic Ocean might look impressive, but it’s educated, healthy, and skilled citizens that drive real growth. Infrastructure helps but it needs human capital to drive it and make it more sustainable. As governor, Obi got this. He aligned with the Millennium Development Goals. He overhauled schools, returned missionary institutions, paid off debts, invested in health care, trained teachers, empowered youth, protected the vulnerable, and still left billions in savings. His budgets were open, and people-focused. He wasn’t there to “settle the boys.” Tinubu, on the other hand, prioritized infrastructure and political consolidation. Alpha-Beta’s grip on IGR is just one example of how public wealth was cornered. Lagos has Nigeria’s most opaque budget process and no Freedom of Information request has ever cracked it. Obi’s model isn’t flashy but it’s sustainable. He attacked the roots of poverty: poor education, weak healthcare and youth unemployment. Tinubu’s model preserves elite dominance, not national upliftment. Countries that developed, as Obi’s constantly reminds us, like Singapor , China and Bangladesh did so by investing heavily in human capital. Not just by building skyscrapers and flyovers. Nigeria cannot industrialize with poor schools and crumbling clinics. Obi is not perfect but he’s honest, transparent, and understands what Nigeria needs. Even his critics admit he has conquered greed. He’s a leader, not a title-chaser. He would have been a real antidote to Buhari’s years of waste and decay and not like these clowns who only want the perks of office. She has ran well on all of her starts to date with form figures of: 3,2,1,1 & she is 6/4 favourite to add another win to her record this afternoon at Sandown. This could see her be possibly 90 rated next Tuesday… We are extremely pleased to add her to our ranks along with her being trained by George Boughey. George and I have formed a great relationship over the last two years and I think it’s the perfect time to add a two year old to our team at Craven House. We both had this filly on our list as being a great model for restricted Band C races. George was delighted we managed to get this filly and is personally keeping 25% himself. With George, comes Billy… Young superstar pilot Billy Loughnane has ridden multiple winners for PV and is a big asset to both us & George’s team.
