Here’s why I am disillusioned with modern evangelicalism. Evangelicalism has failed to appeal to tradition, like the Apostle Paul has commanded us to do. In 2 Thessalonians 2:15, the Apostle Paul says “So then, brothers and sisters, stand firm and hold fast to the teachings we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter.” However, many Evangelical Churches have disregarded or even object to historic Christian tradition in pursuit of what they deem to be more enlightening in the modern age. It’s just liberalism infecting the Church. I want to worship Christ with the faith of the apostles.

Can we go back to singing songs like this in church? I’m honestly tired of many of these modern worship songs. One of the beautiful things about songs like this is how they unite us. Christians across so many African countries know them and sing them in their churches. What’s even more amazing is that this singer isn’t Nigerian, he’s from Cameroon, yet he sings it just like a Nigerian. 🇳🇬 That’s the beauty of these timeless worship songs. They bring believers together across cultures and borders, reminding us that we are one body in Christ
