Thank you for bringing attention to Sacred Harp Singing. Technically, it's not a worship service in the most narrow sense & I know no churches where this is the music in their services (the worshipers arranged in a square, facing a song-leader in the center), but it is wonderful.

Sounds nice, but this is NOT a worship service. It's group singing of a "mixed multitude" using religious lyrics. The lack of discernment in the church today is appalling. "These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me." Matt. 15:8 God's redeemed must "worship Him ...in spirit and truth". I'll take the truly redeemed with their guitar amps set on 11.

This is historic shape note singing. My daughters take shape note singing lessons from the daughter of renowned shape note singer in the Appalachian mountains of North Carolina. If you ever get a chance to go to a shape note singing do it! It's gorgeous and powerful.

It'd be better without weird-looking arm raising.

So much authority coming from the lyrics. This is beautiful

Modern evangelical worship isn't worship, it's self indulgence

"Shout on pray on, we're gaining ground." Gives me goosebumps every time I listen to this song.

And yet God can be praised with both all the same!

This has more repetition than many modern worship songs.
