Modern Warfare 2 (2022) released over 3 years ago Did it deserve the hate?

Yes it fucking did. Downfall of Warzone began, one of the worst MP’s next to MW19, & the horrible synchronization of COD HQ which has forced all CODs under IW’s engine.

This game went back to the classic formula and tried new things and people didn't want to adapt and give it a chance. Absolutely insane people prefer the unbalanced, buggy modern warfare 2 (2009) > this polished game.

Slower pace, higher recoil, less sweaty and more casual.

@S_R_M_V @ExoGhost But it also removed a lot of the classic formula that made the game good, remember the community had to beg for red dots and there was no ninja/dead silence at all apart from field upgrades

@ExoGhost Just use a uav. Dead silence field upgrade is better because you can rock other perks you want to use.

@S_R_M_V @GodPressure I rocked other perks I wanted to use in CoDs that had dead silence too. What point are you even making here? No one is forced to use dead silence if it's balanced well UAV lasts for 30 seconds and can't be earned again without dying. Not a substitute for red dots

Dead silence is a must have or youre at a disadvantage in older cods mate thus forcing you to run it. Just get a uav and full squad and have them run uav. Red dots on mini map is pointless and breaks immersion. You should be focusing on the game and its immersion not the mini map every 5 seconds or after a kill.

Yes. It's genuinely (imo) the worst cod ever made. I literally cannot think of a single redeeming quality about this game and it put Infinity Ward's incompetence on full display with a game so bad they released a sequel the following year to fix its many issues.

Yup this game killed the franchise. Loading perks. Terrible maps. Clunky movement. We bought based on the beta then they changed everything at launch. Killed the trust. Ever since then they've been trying to regain that trust back.

Yes but MW3 was the perfect version of it a year later, best game we’ve had since original MW3 and arguably the best version of Warzone.

A lot of stability issues. And weapon grinding was stupid af. I've noticed how The Betas Are more fun than the actual release of COD Titles

I put more a few hours into it. 1) Anticheat and random soft bans were pretty bad in this time period. 2) Whomever did the menu system should be ashamed and never work on UI/UX. 3) Movement wasn’t enough like MW:2019 and wasn’t nearly as polished as what showed up in MWIII. 4) What even were those footstep sounds. Goooooodness. Put another way, I’m still mad at MWII for being so annoying and bad that I skipped MWIII which now that I’ve put some hours into I regret missing (especially compared to BO7).

I enjoyed it for what it was, had its flaws and alot of them but I can honestly say I had more fun playing that game than I have BO6&7s multiplayers. Also the slide cancel delay thing they added was nice to a degree because these days every single gunfight is just a slidefest.

Weapon tuning was the worst thing they ever added to this game. They wasted so much god damn time on that

No. It was the final time the entirety of all my friends (mostly casual) played the game consistently, that alone made it fun even if the game was perceived as an ‘average’ CoD @InfinityWard don’t listen to the internet nerds, make MW4 as casual as can be..

Yes, I’ve went back a few times just to confirm it was actually shit, and it’s just as bad as I remember. Its only redeeming quality is that the maps are pretty good

I loved the MP and DMZ is the best mode they’ve ever put together. I just REALLY hated not being to cancel a reload.

The game was slower for sure, but it wasn't exactly bad. I liked the campaign and the side modes were quite an improvement to MW19. Plus it had one of my favorite loadouts in COD history

Yes, some of it. Visibility while shooting, attachment tuning, most maps and aim assist being an aimbot were all rrally awful things. The atmosphere, Warzone 2.0 maps, gun variety, audio (atmosphere), graphics were all amazing though.

The game was awesome but only the cod hq ruined the experience yall kids are just yapping about downfall because nobody knows how to play properly it's not all about yy movement 100% of the time 🥀

Yes 100%. It came with engine iw9 : complete disaster for mnk players : visual recoil, visual clutter, aim sway, slow movement, insane buff of rotational aim assist to compensate it. Since this game, mw3,bo6 bo7 are still on this trash engine. This game deserve all the hate
