Novak Djokovic says his Grand Slam results are not good enough for him given who he is: "I reached 4 semifinals last season. This year I made one final and one semifinal. For the vast majority of players that would be a very good Grand Slam season, but for me it’s simply not good enough. Because I am both blessed and cursed that I am used to something of the highest degree in terms of results and achievements. I always have the highest expectations for myself. It’s kind of that internal battle of what I have been through for over 20 years of my career, what the goals were, the expectations and trying to also balance it out and trying to be a bit more humble in that sense. Tennis has given me everything I have in my life and has opened opportunities to become who I am. At the same time of course there is always a question of how far do I want to keep pushing, what I want to play, how I want to play, etc. I try to take it one day at a time and see how I feel. By the way, I often come back to watch this video to get motivated. In the last set of the match, Federer took a 40–15 lead. Victory was just one serve away. The crowd roared for Federer. To my family, my friends & fellow 🇳🇱 citizens The Netherlands Institute for Human Rights ruled that the Dutch Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND) discriminated against me because of my political beliefs. I respect the decision. Almost two years later, I am still excluded. My situation has not been fixed. That is very hard for me to understand. I never wanted to share this story. I speak four languages, I have a master’s degree in International Relations and Security, and I simply wanted to participate in the Dutch society & use my knowledge and life experience to help a better & safer Netherlands. Finding out that I was judged not by my skills, but by who I am, hurt me deeply. At the same time, it gave me a fire inside that will never go out. I belong to the Kurdish-Yezidi community, one of the most persecuted ethnic and religious minorities in the world. I never expected this to happen to me in the Netherlands, especially by the government itself. While many people my age are building their future, I have spent almost two years fighting the third largest ministry in the Netherlands: the Ministry of Justice and Security. I did not choose this. But the Netherlands is a democratic country governed by the rule of law. That is why I am taking the Dutch State to court in The Hague. Not only for myself, but for everyone who wants to be judged by their qualities, not by their political identity. Thank you.

I know a lot of people don't feel this way but God has put this on my heart heavy lately. I've gotten this reputation in the community as the "old m&k egotistical streamer who tilts all the time and is very angry" and I feel like I've lost a lot of great opportunities for connections in the community in terms of getting to know people etc for too many years. ITS TIME FOR A CHANGE. I think it's just me watching a lot of pro play and expecting all of my teammates in match making to do the right play every single time and thats just not realistic, all the while making bad plays myself and not being self aware and just tilting. I don't want to be that guy anymore so I've worked hard and spent a bit of money to implement this detilt method on my stream, the minute the tilt starts to creep up, I jump to my drums and play. I'm not incredible (yet) but this will be a good way to show you all who I really am while losing weight and getting better at the drums. Music is healing. Hope to see you around the streams <3

We practiced with Novak. That was so funny. He was even like, ‘Oh, we play Davis Cup in couple days.’ I was, ‘Yeah. Are you going?’ ‘Yeah, I'm going.’ That was my first tie. He was like, ‘When are you going?’ I was like, ‘Saturday.’ He was, ‘Do you want to go with me?’ Honestly, I feel like I'm a shy person. At first, I say, ‘No, no, Federation already took tickets for me.’ It was one stop, three hours away and something. I was there, maybe I actually should have said yes. In one hour when the practice finished. Novak, really, I can come with you? He was, ‘Yeah.’ I was, ‘Okay, I will come.’ I think that's what sometimes people don't know about Novak. He can be tough on the court, like I can be. He can be this and that. But me, since the first time I met him, I was 400 in the world. Now I'm 3 in the world. Was 1 in the world. I feel like he treats me like before. For sure I became more of a rival than before for him. But the treatment off court when we see each other is the same. I like this about him. I find this very good from him as a person, yeah.” 🥹
