He cross contaminated mold to inner meat with first cut.

This was my exact same thought.

The video is heavily edited. Every segment is a new angle. The last few clips where he makes multiple cuts could have been replaced with a clean knife and tuna. Hard to tell for sure. However, eating moldy sushi seems a little fishy to me.

@xmuse_ Dude that first cut is not edited. He sliced it in half. I'm sure you'd prep it the same way as aged ribeye. Trim all of the mold and bad parts off first, then slice your steaks.

@xmuse_ This video has over 2 dozen clips. Anything could have been added or switched out between those clips. The last few clips could have been switched out with a clean knife and fish. That's a fact. An aged ribeye is cooked after trimming. It's not eaten raw.

@kgdaking @xmuse_ How a cut in half could be edited. I mean, what would be better if it's edited. In which frame of that first cut would you change the knife?

@kgdaking @xmuse_ Dude, after he cut the moldy fish the knife could have been cleaned between video clips. A clean piece of fish could have replaced the moldy fish. Don't believe everything you see on video.

Why would one go through the trouble (and risk) when fresh tuna tastes fantastic😂

No way screw that

No

Honestly, once the mold is removed, that looks perfectly healthy. I would eat it, but not the way he does. I would pour over it some sauce, either Tartare or A thousand Islands, lemon drops, with rice & some leafy greens salad.

smile doesn't lie.

I'm conflicted about this one. Maybe too conflicted. Someone tell me no before I taste test the suss fish.

We eat dried salami with mold, we eat cheese with mold, we eat dry aged meats. So why not.

Peepos wont eat this but will eat chicken risking salmonella and death. I've eaten funky beef while sailing, washing it off with seawater till it went from milky to clear and ate it, was yum. Deep freezer failed but my survival didnt.

No, I would not eat any fish or meat raw. It's just disgusting. Regardless of the mold on outer layer. That isn't a problem, when properly removed.

"Let's eat what didn't visibly rot" No. Pass.

If it’s prepared by someone with experience? Definitely

Asians definitely caused covid.

食用の白カビを生やして熟成させたマグロかな? 食べるなら刺身か寿司がいいな 高級なとこでしか出さないだろうから実際は食べれないけどw

Why is it always some doctor looking mfer that does this shit??

魚屋です。 マグロの肉は魚肉より畜肉に近いので熟成が可能なのは知っています。 こういう食べ方があるのも承知していますが私自身は食べませんね。 From Kyoto Japan

No! it becomes really nasty and emits a amonia taste and smell. I know some folk up north are in to that but it's not for me.

Yeah. Dry aging is a pretty common thing

Yeah just don't eat the moldy part

Fuzzy fish? No, thanks.

Cook it tasted like high quality beef 🥩

Yeah...I think I draw the line when the fish turns into a mammal.

Cut it off and cook it 😋 would be better to do that, not sure otherwise. 🤔👍

I need that dislike button

🙄

No, 😬

NW, eating this tuna raw?😨

Not only I would totally eat that but it also looks better/tastier/finer and less fatty than fresh red uncooked tuna (like on sushis). Once the mold is removed there's no way I won't taste that if I know it's a common dish.

Controlled spoilage, like sauerkraut or salami…

Absolutely! Beef aged this way is legit af as well. 💯

Ya lo comemos en el buffet del chino

No.

Me neither.

No. I will not eat this.
