Wearing waders, headlamps and carrying shovels, the men were later seen emerging from underground one by one. Police say they do not currently believe the groups posed a threat to critical infrastructure and suspect they may have been searching for valuables. Still... Multiple incidents where groups of people were seen entering and exiting sewer manholes in Brooklyn, New York - In one incident surveillance video captured 8 unidentified individuals removing a manhole cover, entering the sewer system, spending roughly 2–3 hours underground, then exiting around 3.40 am and fleeing in a waiting vehicle - The second video was around 11 pm–midnight the night before, about 7 people were seen entering a manhole. They emerged around 2 am. Some changed their dirty clothes and gear on the street and left in vehicles NYPD says this is illegal trespassing and hasn’t made any arrests People around the areas said it was very suspicious From what I can tell they have no idea what is going on “officially”. I know they lowered cameras down to try and figure it out and then deemed it as no hazards
