This was the first time we saw Sufiya struggle. We have been with her since Kanyakumari, and until this day, she made every single day look easy. But this day was different. We were running through the forests of Madhya Pradesh. The roads just kept going up and down. After hours of running on them, her ankles started giving up. You could see the pain in every step she took. For an ultra runner, your legs are everything. When they stop supporting you, nothing feels easy anymore. There was a point where we honestly felt that even 30 km would be difficult today. But she never once spoke about stopping. She just kept saying, “We’ll do 50….. we’ll do 55.” And somehow, by the end of the day, she completed all 67 kilometers. Watching this from so close made us realize something. Being mentally strong doesn’t mean you don’t feel pain. It means you keep moving even when your body is asking you to stop. She knew pushing through could make the injury worse, but we think she knows her limits and also knew why she had started this Run. Today wasn’t just about finishing 67 km. Fundamentally wrong on multiple levels. First of all, if your reaction to the defeat and removal of a swarm of foreign invaders is "that's cruel", then you are not ready to make adult judgements about foreign policy, and shouldn't be allowed to vote. Let me make it simpler: You are supposed to be cruel to your enemies, you silly person. They are not your friends you haven't met yet. They are your enemies. They mean to hurt you, either because they hate you, or because they want what you have, and don't care what happens to you when they take it. Sacrificing your countrymen and your civilization over naive principles you learned from your midwit kindergarten teacher is a disgusting moral betrayal. It is your countrymen, and your civilization, that defend you, sustain you, and provide for you every good thing that you have, including everything from the right to say silly things online to the smartphone you say them with. To set all that at nothing so you can virtue signal is not only silly... it's ungrateful. And ungrateful people are trash. Secondly, if you describe deporting the dregs of the third world back to where they belong as "warlord" behavior, you not only have no idea what a warlord is, you have no idea what most of the world is like, and you are unqualified to vote in elections that effect foreign policy. Warlords do not chain their enemies up, load them onto planes, bring them back to their homelands and set them free. Warlords feeds their enemies to dogs. Was your best friend dragged out of his home by masked men, in front of his wife and child, and stuffed into a waiting van? Was his naked corpse found hanging from a lamp post the next day, covered in burn marks and puncture wounds from an electric drill? That's what warlords do. So save the term for when you actually need it. Trump was and is the soft option. If you somehow manage to thwart him, I promise you that you really, really will not like who comes next. Third, western civilization has been brought to the brink of inevitable collapse because you listened to silly women who think military-age males from Ethnicklashistan are cute puppies who need love and understanding. I am beyond grateful. This tour was THE highlight of all highlights of my life. I had no expectations coming in, I just wanted to help take good photos, for the team and the blooms as well. However, I didn't expect that my heart would be so full of love and friendship after my own 'tour' of 8 states, and 11 cities in 23 days. I never felt exhaustingly tired, until now. Naramdaman ko na rin ang sakit ng katawan 😅 In retrospect, this was maybe because at every stop, from NY to SEA, everyone was all positivie vibes, walang epal. Everybody had a good time before and after each concerts. I never met anybody who said otherwise. TEAM BLOOM USA , I will never stop thanking the people leading this group for the trust and opportunity. If not for your hard work and perseverance, this will not come to fruition. And to the rest of the USblooms I've met along the way, thank you for making every stop memorable. To Team Bini, thank you for accepting me into your group. Working with you all was a breeze. I really appreciated the camaraderie and for giving me the chance to be my own creative self. I've seen now why BINI is so good because of the team that supports them behind the scenes, cares about each one of our walo. They held each other accountable and keep them grounded as well. To BINI, our walo, we are so proud of you all. Thank you for persevering despite all the doubt, for taking the challenge head on despite the uncertainty. You've conquered each stage with your aptitude, grit and determination. Congratulations for a job well done! It was an honor and privilege of mine to photograph and be a part of your journey. Vayne takes you on a hunt. you don't know why. she doesn't take anyone. she says stay behind me. don't speak unless i speak first. don't make a sound when we move. you say yes. she looks at you for a second longer than usual. "if i tell you to run, you run. you don't look back for me. are we clear" you say yes. she doesn't answer. she just turns and walks out the door. you follow her through the city streets. she moves different when she's working. shoulders lower. steps shorter. her head doesn't turn but her eyes do. you can feel her cataloguing everything. the man smoking outside the tavern. the cat under the cart. the second floor window with the curtain half drawn. she leads you through an alley you didn't know existed. stops at a brick wall. then she climbs. there are handholds carved into the mortar that you wouldn't have noticed if she hadn't used them first. she's halfway up before she realizes you're still at the bottom. she looks down at you. "up" you climb. your hands are shaking by the time you reach the top. the roof is flat. old clay tiles along the edges. a low wall you can crouch behind. the city stretches out below you in every direction. a thousand windows glowing gold in the dusk. she's already at the far side. crouched. crossbow unslung. watching a building across the square. she doesn't look at you when you come up beside her. "stay low" you crouch. "that building. third floor. second window from the left" you look. "i see it" he'll come to that window sometime tonight. i've watched him do it for three nights. i want to know who he meets you ask who he is. her jaw tightens. "a demon pretending to be a man" you don't ask what that means. you settle in beside her. the wind is up here. it pulls at her hair and she doesn't bother fixing it. the sun is going down behind her. her profile in the gold light looks like something carved. her hands on the crossbow are steady. completely still. you've never seen anyone be this still. an hour passes. she doesn't move. you try not to move. your leg falls asleep. you shift an inch. she looks at you. you go completely still again. she looks back at the window. another hour. the sun is gone. the city is blue and black. lamps are lighting up one by one. the air is getting cold. you're shivering before you realize you're shivering. she notices. she doesn't say anything. then she takes off her cloak. doesn't look at you. holds it out to the side. If you can do 4 sets of 8 reps with the same weight each set, you’re probably not pushing yourself hard enough A true working set should leave you near failure within the target rep range ⁠ For example, let’s say your plan calls for 2 sets of 6-8 reps After a few warm up sets, you try 135 lbs and hit 8 reps, but you know you could have done 6 more That’s still a warm up set since you’re not reaching failure in the 6-8 rep range You’d then go up to 145 lbs and aim to fail around 6-8 reps If 145 still feels too light, that’s another warm up set You keep going up in weight until you find the load that challenges you to fail within that 6-8 range If you don’t have a spotter, leaving one or two reps in the tank is okay ⁠ This is where true muscle growth happens, by pushing close to your limit Sleep and diet is actually where muscle growth occurs but you never push yourself hard enough in the gym and give your body a reason to grow, hypertrophy will never happen The gym is just the stimulus to give the muscle a reason to grow We then get bigger through sleep and diet ⁠ Back to the working sets... am fighting for my life right now. For the last few days, I have been breathing in air contaminated by raw sewage that flooded my apartment. The corporate owners, Bryten Real Estate Partners, eventually sent a crew to clear the visible waste, but that didn't solve the problem. I want to be very clear about why I am still so sick. Just because the floors look clean now does not mean the home is safe. When raw sewage sits in a house, it releases microscopic bacteria and toxins into the air. Every time I breathe, I am taking those poisons into my lungs. Because of my medical history (spinal cord injury, collapsed lung, breathing machine) and being immunocompromised, my body cannot fight these pathogens off like a healthy person’s could (and ‘healthy’ people still die from this) My immune system is already under a heavy load, and breathing in these toxins is a direct threat to my life. Two different doctors have confirmed that my lungs are in distress and my home is a life-threatening environment. My lungs have been on fire for days. My doctors have legally told me I cannot go back into that apartment until it passes a real, scientific air test. I send Bryten emails tirelessly. They do not respond. I’m sure the “Freeze” is advice from their lawyers. Management has been heartless. They only offered to test the air after my doctors made it a requirement. But even then, they tried to use a test that wouldn't actually find the toxins making me sick. As soon as I sent them a list of the actual scientific standards needed to prove the air was safe, they canceled the testing. They would rather leave me sick and displaced than pay for a test they can’t fake. They also lied to my renter’s insurance, and they’ve ceased communication with me.
