I love that her complaint wasn't that SHE should teach her child empathy, but that a responsible parent should hire a therapist to teach their child

For anyone outside education what she’s talking about is social emotional learning. Lessons on how to manage anger, resolve conflicts, cultivate, friendships, empathy, making sure we’re including everyone, growth mindset. We cannot teach unless our students have the skills.
