Which driver did you look up to while growing up? Oscar Piastri: [As] I understand more about racing though, I would say Lewis [Hamilton] mainly. I think the way he goes about things on and off the track is, you know, quite exceptional. And I think the end of last season [2021], you know, the way he kind of handled all of that, especially immediately after the race and the post-race interviews was nothing short of remarkable. Like, I was really impressed with that because I certainly would have been able to stay so calm. But yeah, I think Lewis, you know, mainly because he's been so successful, but I guess, you know, he's put himself in the right spot at the right time. Mercedes clearly believe he's the man for the job because they keep re-signing him. So yeah, I think Lewis is probably my answer. I had fast car this weekend, but unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to see how my race would play out. There was fluid on the track & I got caught up in an accident running P5. I wasn’t able to continue because of the front-end damage.

There’s been times when I’m walking or hiking in the woods and I hear knocking coming a building, it gives me an eerie vibe like a trapped in the woods kind of feeling. I know I post about this stuff a bit but it truly fascinates me. Like how this man is hearing knocking on the ground in the woods like something underneath him is knocking but it’s solid ground right? The only logical explanation I can think of is it’s reverb from construction or possibly pipes on the ground being worked on. I was at the state park getting a jog in, the surrounding area was flat, I could see far on either side of me. The fields were clear of trees like a new developmental lot. I didn’t have my headphones on, I decided just to go for a jog without them. During the jog it was quiet, except for the sounds of the wildlife, I could tell they were there, it didn’t bother me. However as I progressed I started hearing a screeching noise, it didn’t sound like any animal to me, almost like old metal on metal brakes of a car ready to fail is how I would describe it. I wasn’t worried because as I said before, the area I was at was clear, it wasn’t as if anybody could be hiding along my path, it was just empty, but what made it weird is I couldn’t pinpoint where the noise was and it sounded close yet I couldn’t see anything that could be the source. Just a dirt path and grass. There were trees along the horizon but they were far, too far for that noise to be so close. For the rest of the job I kept my eyes open but to this day I still couldn’t explain what that noise was.

Carlos and Gaetan after the race Gaetan: OK, so that's P13, P13. Damaged car from early on, from the start. We went with four loss at 15 points, so with that damage, that was a hell of a race. Not easy for sure for the tyres. Hell of a race. Mate you did really good. I know it doesn't feel like that, maybe, but good job. Carlos: Yeah, obviously, I don't know how much quicker I could have been with all the damage, but for sure it feels we were losing out a lot of front downforce there. So, yeah, I don't know what would have been without that, it’s what it is” ☹️☹️
