I can understand that... I will probably see this again after a decade..

For me, Gaspar's work is about questioning the responsibility of the audience as an accomplice to whatever occurs on screen. The fact that Irreversible begins so shockingly awful & then plays backwards scene by scene, by the end the audience is given a happy ending.
