Monoculture is not a negative term. Being Australian means adapting to Aussie values and embracing that way of life. If you come to this country seeking to turn it into the country you left, why did you leave? Monoculture encourages unity, a sense of belonging, and successful assimilation, that’s all.

People don't seem to understand we can still be multiracial without multiculturalism. A monoculture is the only solution that makes sense. How can a nation have any type of national identity without an overarching culture everyone subscribes to? Maybe that's the point.

Ok .. I do have to comment on this and I have several times before about Multiculturalism. What we are seeing now is not the original definition of Multiculturalism. For clarification it has been changed to multi-race now and that’s ok as Hanson attempts to appropriately clarify. But this is being muddied leaving Hanson misunderstood by some Question Are the British , Irish,Italians , Dutch Greeks ,Cypriots , Maltese and many others that came in the 50’s and 60’s Different cultures that have beautiful things to share and offer ? You bet and it has made Australia a beautiful country. I kept saying if we keep calling ourselves the lucky country, someone is going to mozz us and so behold the WEF and Albo. What’s failed is that the definition of Multiculturalism has been hijacked and extended to a ridiculous level of political correctness well beyond beyond its original definition. Tolerance and acceptance of other cultures does not mean one can be in conflict with our common law . Nor does it mean you attempt to turn Australia into your own individual culture which is only one of many. All those cultures I mentioned above share one common respect for our law and way of life . Any other culture may join as long as their wish to assimilate and integrated… NOT SEGREGATE LIKE LAKEMBA That’s Not what multiculturalism meant . We are like Hanson said A Judeo Christian’s country under ONE FLAG AND UNDER ONE Law. Share from your culture whatever but NO CULTURE SHOULD TRY TO IMPOSE AN IDEOLOGY UPON THIS COUNTRY UNLESS IT IS IN LINE WITH OUR WAY OF LIFE . Wherever you are from… If you want to leave a country that is oppressing you, by all means. Do not come here and try to oppress Australians . So… multiculturalism.. multi- race Take your pick and call it what you like. Each race has a culture . The difference and what matters beyond terminologies is the intent of those entering our country A) Assimilate and integrate by learning English if you need to Learn to communicate with your fellow Australians or B) segregate. Or C) try to turn our countrybintonthebshithooe they came from. Those that Came from the above cultures I mentioned , and maybe more , back in the 50’s and 60’s fall into A) catagory. Anyone else can bugger off. I came here in the early 60’s at the age of seven and could speak two languages before I set foot in Australia. English is one of them. my Dad saw to that and also insisted we speak English at home from that day forward.

Australia doesn’t need a monoculture. We need a shared commitment to Australian values: democracy, equality, secular government, and the rule of law. People can have different backgrounds, religions and traditions while still being proudly Australian. A monoculture isn’t Australia’s past, present or future. Unity comes from shared values, not everyone looking, worshipping or living the same way.

Yes it is. It's extremely narrow minded. My family goes back generations in Australia and that was a mix of races. The Australia I grew up in had all sorts of ethnicities: Italian, Greek, Dutch, Indian, Lebanese, Indigenous, English, Scottish, irish, Israeli, Vietnamese & so on.
