The Black Knight scene in Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975) is funny on a primal level.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975) The Black Knight sketch is pure unadulterated gruesome comedy gold. 'Tis but a scratch.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975) is still absurdly funny. They rewrote gags on the spot because of constant rain, and the improvisation ended up giving the film half its best jokes. Comedy that somehow gets sharper every year.

In Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975), they wanted real horses but couldn’t afford them. So they used coconuts instead. A budget problem accidentally became one of the most instantly recognizable and beloved gags in film history.

MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL (1975) famously ends with the police shutting down the film. The production was so low-budget that the crew couldn’t afford a proper battle scene, so the absurd ending turned their limitations into the ultimate joke.
