According to Avory, the adults around the pool weren't doing anything, so he put on his goggles, dove down, and pulled a grown man up out of the water. Woolery's adrenaline kicked in, and with his dad's assistance, he got the man to safety where bystander immediately started administering CPR while another called 911. "No one was doing anything, so I put on my goggles. I went underwater. I grabbed him up. There was no way that I was going to let another man die today. He's a human being. He should be treated as such," the young hero declared. First responders arrived just before 8 p.m. and rushed the man to a nearby hospital in serious condition.
