Luna moths are among the largest moths in North America, with wingspans of up to 5 inches! Adults have vestigial mouths. They cannot eat. Their sole purpose is to mate. And then they die.

Moon Moth(Actias luna), is a large, pale green moth with long tail-like extensions on its wings. Found in North America, it has a wingspan of up to 4.5 inches & live for about a week, focusing solely on reproduction, as they lack mouthparts & do not eat.

It looks like the Chinese moon moth

They look so interesting, I like the designs of the moon moths.

Very fascinating. I learned that they have a very short life cycle. A wingspan of almost 5 inches.!
