A major scene unfolded at the CJP protest at Jantar Mantar today during dinner. People were served roti with khichdi, and many got upset, asking, "What kind of combination is this?" They were almost about to get into a physical confrontation with Junaid. But at the last moment, some CJP members stepped in and apologized, assuring everyone that it wouldn't happen again from tomorrow. Only then did the crowd calm down. They gave a final warning that they wanted a better dinner from the next day, and only then did they somehow finish their khichdi and roti. Just look at the food tantrums at a protest. 😭

I asked Leslie Iwerks about her favorite scene in 'Disneyland Handcrafted,' and she pointed to a moment showing workers pulling the Mark Twain that captures both the difficulty of building Disneyland and Walt's determination to make it happen. "My favorite scene is the guys pulling the Mark Twain. Who knows exactly what the issue was, but they were all trying to pull it, and it's a little symbolic scene of just how hard it was and how hard they worked and their teamwork. Also the fact that they were up against all odds. Everyone doubted this could happen, but they were all saying it was an exciting time because Walt willed it to happen. He told everybody it could happen and that they had never done this before, but they could do it. And so it all gave them confidence that they could pull it off, and they all mobilized under Walt's singular vision to get it done. And I think that scene to me is emotional to me because I just feel like it symbolizes the teamwork."

Coffee thoughts - New relationships This caught my attention yesterday. Candace you say Erika and you were never friends? You never had a relationship. Interesting. Now it makes sense on why the attacks on her. (Video 1) She started traveling with you guys immediately after Charlie and her met. I bet that was hard. Now Charlie’s attention was all on Erika. One of the biggest criticisms was changing the female lead’s profession from a teacher in the webtoon to an office worker who became the male lead’s employee in the drama. Some viewers claimed that this pushed a male-dominance narrative, reduced the female lead’s independence, and placed her in a position where she was more at the mercy of the ML. I was reading some discussions about the drama recently, then I came across this interesting debate about this particular scene. So, both the male and female leads were drunk when they had a onenight stand, which later resulted in a pregnancy. Some viewers insisted that the drama should have placed the responsibility solely on the male lead, ‘he should have exercised more self control’ ‘the female lead didn’t give her consent’. so it was a back and forth convo as others felt that based on what was shown in the scene, both characters gave consent and therefore shared responsibility. With all the conversations today about consent and responsibility when alcohol is involved, how would you interpret this scene? P.S. They didn’t know they were employer and employee until after that night.
