She was abducted and tortured by security operatives, the UPDF spokesperson confirmed they had detained her, but released her days later without charge. So why didn't they take her to police or court if she had committed a crime? Why did they release her with torture marks and signs of abuse after holding her in incommunicado detention? Why did police where she went afterwards to report send her away without filing her complaint against the abduction and torture? Why did the Uganda Human Rights Commission pay a deaf ear to the complaint she raised with them? Many questions, few answers!

This little tiger lost his mother when he was still very young, so he ended up growing up around bears. After spending so much time with them, he seemed to think he was one of them too. But fitting in wasn’t always easy. Some of the bears would push him away or even steal his food, and the little tiger often found himself alone. There was one bear cub, though, who never treated him differently. The cub stayed close to him, played with him, and was always licking his ears like they were brothers. When the caretaker noticed the tiger being picked on, he decided to separate him from the bears and raise him on his own. But instead of becoming happier, the tiger seemed miserable. He stopped eating properly and even tried to escape, as if he was searching for the family he had grown up with. That’s when the caretaker realized just how much the tiger missed his little bear friend. As soon as the two were reunited, everything changed. The tiger was happy again, and his bear buddy immediately went back to licking his ears like nothing had happened. From that day on, they stayed together, growing up side by side, playing and exploring together. For my mom, and all those who love her, the last few months have been a roller-coaster ride through the healthcare system – a hair-raising trip that began with a splitting headache, followed by the sudden appearance of two of everything. In the weeks and months that followed, the headaches persisted. The double-vision didn’t go away. The nausea arrived and stayed. The tests revealed no clear cause, and the doctors were at a loss. Right up until they weren’t. Today, after four months of relative hell, I’m delighted to say it's her 88th birthday and we're celebrating with a long overdue appearance on my podcast, where she delivers a full report on what happened to her, and how she feels in the wake of a very serious scare. A 16-year-old daughter sent her 43-year-old father to jail on false sexual abuse charges at the behest of her boyfriend and his mother, simply because he objected to her relationship and late-night phone calls. Saji Kuttappan, a tribal daily labourer from Idukki, Kerala, lived with his wife and two children. The minor girl met a boy on Instagram, started a romantic relationship and began frequent phone and video calls. When her father discovered the calls, he questioned her and asked her to focus on her studies. Angered by his advice, she told her boyfriend and his mother of his opposition. The boyfriend’s mother then suggested she file a sexual abuse complaint against her father with the child helpline, which she did. In September 2024, police registered a POCSO case against Saji Kuttappan based on her statement and sent him to prison, where he remained for 18 months. During his imprisonment, his wife and son faced extreme financial and social hardship. His younger son was forced to drop out of school due to local stigma and ridicule. While Saji was in jail, his minor daughter invited her boyfriend home at night. They were caught in a physical relationship by her mother and brother. Neighbours called the police, and a separate POCSO case was registered against the boyfriend, who was later acquitted after the girl testified in his favour. Throughout, Saji’s wife and younger son stood by him. Their support proved crucial in establishing his innocence. He spent over 18 months in prison because the complainant was his own daughter, and the courts were cautious about possible witness influence or evidence tampering. After examining 16 witnesses and 20 documents, the Fast Track Court in Idukki acquitted Saji Kuttappan on 16 August 2026, ending his long ordeal of wrongful imprisonment on a fabricated POCSO case filed by his own daughter. The girl is now a major and lives with her boyfriend. Saji says he holds no grudges against her and only wants her to live well. He is focused on rebuilding his life with his wife and son. The girl not only destroyed her father’s life but also her younger brother’s. After dropping out of school due to ridicule and pity, the young boy now spends most of his time at home in their unfinished house, drawing pictures. I hope that with time and age, she realises the depth of the evil she committed and one day seeks forgiveness from her family.

The photo shows destroyed buildings on the surface and two destroyed vehicles. - Missile base north of Kermanshah. All buildings on the surface were destroyed, and the tunnel entrances were damaged. Traces of strikes are also visible on the road, but it's unclear what was the target. - Missile base south of Tabriz. Recently built radar domes and auxiliary buildings were destroyed, and the tunnel entrances were damaged. Numerous craters are also visible along the roads. - Missile base in Dezful.
