This is a much bigger question then I can answer in my silly twitter character limit. TLDR: Nerevar was a leader in the past. He was friends with Dagoth. Nerevar was killed. Azura swore to resurrect him. You play as him (allegedly) in TES3. You kill Dagoth (sort of) in TES3.

My favorite lines so far are “hello farm equipment” and “just what we need bigger fucking argonians”
