I noticed that you used collision block to detect the orbs. which you know isn't the best way to make beat detection (it relies on frames rather than songposition). I suggest using timestamps because its more accurate. other than that its a pretty cool recreation!

since you mentioned snail and rabbit tiles, trying to match it with the song can be a little tedious with collision blocks. but if you use songposition instead you dont have to change the setup (only the visuals) because it follows the beat and not where collision block is at

in my setup the reference collision blocks only rotate by looking at the direction of the incoming tile (automatic, e.g. if the next tile is straight just rotate 180), though i cant entirely guarantee it would work, i think ur idea is more appropriate lmao

I think it would be fine lol, only a problem if you decided to add like judgement scores(eg, sick, good, bad) but hey yours seems to work!
