I mean, Springsteen right now and Robert de Niro have big audiences. [Crosstalk] [Applause] BEHAR (waving Haines off): And so does - Wait a minute! So does Jon Voight and Kid Rock. Okay? They have -- all of them have the right to speak out. HAINES: They do. [Crosstalk] BEHAR: Use your platform! Use it! HAINES: The only people applauding them though are people that agree with them. HOSTIN: I think you have an obligation. We are at a crisis point - BEHAR: That's right. HOSTIN: - in this country. I think democracy is participatory. I think when you have a platform, that means I have an outsized voice and when you have a platform, I think that you have a responsibility to speak up about what's going on in this country. And my view, silence is complicity. We need every single ally to speak out. BEHAR: And every minute, every day we’re getting closer - Every day we get closer to a autocracy in this country! Joy Behar falsely claims Justice Kavanaugh "had accusations exactly like" Platner's against him. Sunny Hostin calls on her Democratic Party to find someone who speaks to Platner's voters because she insists Democrats can win the seat: JOY BEHAR: But at least the Democrats are dumping him. Whereas, Susan Collins was one of the major votes to put Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court and he also had allegations exactly like this. If I recall correctly. Am I wrong? SUNNY HOSTIN: Well, the allegations were a little bit different but they were of a sexual nature. BEHAR: Exactly. HOSTIN: And you have someone like Pete Hegseth who is actually in the cabinet who was accused of rape, and actually settled with that woman and paid her $50,000. But I will say this, you know, to Whoopi's point about the Maine voters will speak, they've interviewed a lot of Maine voters after he stepped down, and one Maine voter in particular said, 'Platner did show to establishment Democrats that this is exactly what Maine wants, these are the policies that we want. This is the messaging that we want.' And I think when you look at Platner's platform which was ban billionaires buying elections, universal healthcare, defend Medicare and Medicaid, protect Social Security, support unions, support public schools, support our veterans, no more pointless wars, and bring Gaza genocide to an end. If Maine is saying that's the type of candidate they want, those are the policies that they want, then I think the Democratic National Committee needs to listen to that and find, you know, some sort of contender that speaks to those voters. Because he could have won this race but for these -- I think the additional allegations that came forward that the voters did not know about. SARA HAINES: Yes. HOSTIN: But I think that this is a winnable race. I think Susan Collins is not good -- not a fair representation of the Maine voter right now, and I think the Democrats need to win this race.

Sunny Hostin attacks South Carolina for Darline Graham being their first female senator, and says there's something "fundamentally wrong" with the state. She suggests doctors can't be senators. She and Joy Behar call the appointment "the very definition of a DEI [hire]" and an example of how "our government is fundamentally broken": SUNNY HOSTIN: I don't love it. I don't love it. You know, she'll be the first woman to be a U.S. senator in South Carolina in his the history of the state. And I think that that's just -- it's just fundamentally wrong that South Carolina just couldn't elect a woman and this is the only way that it was done. I think the experience does matter. And while she is a certified optician and while she has done great work in that field, I don't think that she should be representing the people of South Carolina in the U.S. Senate. I just don't. JOY BEHAR: It's this the very definition of a DEI? SUNNY HOSTIN: Correct! correct! It's everything that the Republican Party stands against! Everything! Everything! [Applause] It's DEI. Nepotism. All these things thrown in together. And, you know, at this very same time Pete Hegseth blocked more promotions for women in particular for women of color to become admirals. Vance made a joke about The View being hostile to him and holds an inquisition against Joy Behar, accusing her of literally being his best friend: VP J.D. Sunny Hostin whines that Trump is keeping Ebola patients quarantined overseas and not importing them into the United States. Joy Behar calls it "cruel" that the patients are not brought in. Whoopi points out there's no cure: SUNNY HOSTIN: The thing about Ebola, there are a few Americans that they believe have been exposed to Ebola. The View falsely claims the SAVE Act is about keeping everyone from voting and downplay the 400 illegal votes in New Jersey as not a big deal: SARA HAINES: But 90 percent of U.S. citizens have some form of I.D. Whereas, only about half of Americans have passports so this actually is. JOY BEHAR: Or pastaports. HAINES: Yeah. That means it is reducing the voting public. These kids are the top of the top and so they're going to have a lot of other choices. You know, Ole Miss brings in a lot of money. He vowed not to play unless the state changed the confederate flag. The Confederate flag came down months later. If all black Americans boycotted any industry, it would -- the economy would crumble. Arts, music, doctors, everything.
