Pigs are smart. Some of them see the trap, AND the bait.

I think that’s why they have to wait to get the whole herd in before closing the gate. They ARE smart and if they close it too early and some escape then it makes it far more difficult to use this trap on them again.

@Cookie_BigRick Absolutely good eating if they're butchered right. Once you have them trapped keep them on corn for a month and give them a dewormer. That's how I do it.

Try using scarcity. You want to create a Black Friday mentality. Don't give them enough grain for all of them to eat their fill. Do this for a while and they should start stampeding into the trap to be the first to get the grain.
