HOSPITALS BUILT BY NPP ABANDONED‼️‼️ This is the northern belt Psychiatric Hospital at Tamale built by the NPP Government under the Nana Addo/Bawumia administration which has been abandoned by John Mahama The project is located in Tamale South and is being left to the mercy of the weather, with no continuation of work. I didn’t want the galamsey fight to be politicized but yesterday on the floor of parliament, Cassiel Ato Forson (PhD) politicized it when he tried to put across that, this NPP Government has supervised the destruction of our water bodies, thankfully, Hon. Dompreh being very familiar with what actually happened under John Mahama argued that, it’s a total lie to say we’ve destroyed more water bodies because John Mahama and his NDC destroyed the water bodies than what’s happening under this current Government. The sad part is, under NDC nothing was done to stop galamsey but under NPP, galamseyers were arrested and some galamsey equipments burned to ashes but sadly, NDC on the hand goes to promise these galamseyers to vote against NPP because they (NDC) will let them do more galamsey to destroy our water bodies even more, NDC has politicized galamsey and that’s why we’ve still not being able to fully win against the galamsey fight.

Clearly, some of our NPP friends have a comprehension problem. These guys are so naive, that they don’t even know the difference between a “mere mate”, which is what Bawumia falsely claims to have been to Akufo-Addo and a “spare driver”, which is what John Mahama rightly says he was to Prof. Mills of blessed memory. Whereas, Bawumia claims that he has been a “mere mate”, to Akufo-Addo, ostensibly to dissociate himself from the mess of his own government, Mahama said in 2012, that he was a spare driver to Prof. Mills, (which is what we have insisted a VEEP is all along). As you can see in the attached video, H.E. John Dramani Mahama owned up to, and defended the record of the Mills/NDC government that he was a part of as a spare driver and justified why the NDC, deserved another term to continue its good works. He never attempted to distance himself from any decision of the Mills government that he was a part of. Again, John Mahama in 2012, campaigned on the basis of “continuity” as can been seen in the attached video, but today, dishonest Bawumia is preaching a “new path” with a promise to undo several of the key policies of his own government, as though he is an opposition leader in his own government. Big difference!!! Equalization “yaamutu”

In the NDC Attempt to spin their way out of the crisis they have plunged the cocoa sector into, they attempted to deflect the conversation and pin it in the previous NPP Government even when it’s an obvious miscalculation on the part of the government. They attempted to use debts at CocoBod as the reason for the current situation. This fight is a fight between NDC Government and Ghanaian cocoa farmers. NPP doesn’t come in at all. But for the purposes of records, let me state these few facts! WHAT NPP INHERITED IN 2017 1. The NDC in 2017, left a Debt of GH19 Billion Cedis at CocoBod which was inherited by the NPP. So if they have a 32Billion debt, it include their accumulated debt they left behind plus interest from 2017. 2. The NDC left a rollover liability of about 190,000 metric tonnes for the NPP to deal with 3. In the 2017/2018 period, Cocoa prices on the international market dropped 4. The NDC introduced Cocoa Roads for the first time at Cocobod and left Huge cocoa road debts by the tome they left office in 2017 5. The NDC contracted $1.8 Billion Syndicated loan in 2016 and squandered all without completing the supply of the cocoa beans. Infact after the NDC lost the 2016 elections, between December 9th - 30th December, they spent $400milliom left from that loan paying off Road contractors when we still had cocoa beans to buy and supply INSPITE OF ALL THE ABOVE LIABILITIES The NPP Government then, never used the debt inherited at Cocobod, the dropped international market price , the rollover cocoa beans inherited as an excuse to reduce farmer price. The Akufo-Addo Government then, maintained the farmer price at GH475 so they don’t inconvenience the farmer. The Nana Akufo-Addo Government paid the penalty of $7.5million dollars on the unfulfilled cocoa supply contract by the NDC and went ahead to fulfil the supply. ANOTHER FACT 1. The NPP on 7th January 2025, left in the CocoBod Account at Ghana International Bank, London, an amount of $500million Dollars, Cash. 2. The NPP Government on 7th January 2025 had already sold and expecting revenue in excess of $1billion Dollars 3. That explains why in the first 4 months of 2025, Cocobod received in their accounts revenue amounting to about $1.8billion Dollars as reported in the budget by Hon. Ato Forson. The fact is that, the current situation is simply a poor trading decision and nothing to do with debts at Cocobod, there has never been a moment in our recent history, Cocobod didn’t hav debt and never did debts at Cocobod lead to such massive haircut on Cocoa farmers price. The earlier this government owns up to this incompetence and finds a solution to it the better. The deflections, the attempt to push and short responsibilities, will not work. The farmers deserve better and must have their price restored without delay #CocoafarmersHaircut

Now compare that to the way the current NDC government is handling the African Athletics Championship. It is no surprise that President Mahama once questioned the need for the African Games. The NDC clearly does not prioritise sports development, especially lesser-funded sports disciplines. They are running the country on vibes and Insha Allahu

This is the situation of the Ayensu River running through the Mankrong and Kwanyarko communities. These innocent citizens have never experienced their river polluted to this level. The water treatment plant is shut down as a result and about 11 districts in the central region have no access to potable water. The women have to fetch this water sometimes and cook the water for hours before they can drink. Painful part is, they do no mining in these communities. They are only suffering the impact of mining from 100s of kilometers away. This NDC Government won the 2024 elections largely on the back of Galamsey and the inability of the NPP government to win the fight. I always insisted the NDC were enabling Galamsey the reason it became a difficult fight for the NPP. Today, the situation is worst, our water bodies have been invaded 3times fold and it’s deteriorating at an alarming rate. We call on government to quickly fulfil the promises made to the people. They were just a 6 promises. At least they shld implement this and fail then we know they have made the efforts. For now, they deny the situation is worst, they are buying gold from the Galamseyers, their party people in some areas are leading the onslaught on our river bodies, The government has a laid back attitude to the fight and simply doing the same things already in place when they took office.
