People get so emotional about DNA issues that they refuse to think reasonably. If you, on your own volition, wake up one morning, and decide to go have a DNA paternity test of "your" children, then you must also be ready for the results that will come back to you. You must have reasonable cause to go for the test. That reasonable cause means you are not 100% sure if the kids are yours and hence need a confirmation test. The DNA centers are supposed to take you through counseling before you sign on to do the test. Don't go for a test and later come and disturb us online with the results. Nobody asked for it. Universities and High Schools have not moved rapidly enough to guide students to have skills for the next decade. THEY HAVE FAILED. It is a massive crisis that can be averted by understanding what AI and Robotics will bring about. Solutions are knowing how to use these tools and new industries that will rise. But this situation is also on ALL OF US. No “job” is safe from founder to entry level in most industries. You and I, by what we do, will be “replaced” ultimately. What to do? AI and Robotics are tools, the next decade is owned by those who know how to use them expertly, but this is also temporary. We have to understand that what we do for “work” will change giving ultimately a greater value to those that are: Creative Flexible Always learning Willing to be wrong Love being human Love being alive Know history Covet wisdom Knowing all tech has downsides Building strong family and friends Realize many institutions have failed The first four are required for you to be able to live through this period with your sanity intact. The rest will allow you to thrive. There are no true careers at this point anymore. There are advocation and vocations which will either earn you money or give life meaning. We will learn that we are not “what we do”, just like we knew for 99% of human existence. Let that sink in. — You and I are far, far ahead of knowing this and we can do two things: 1) Laugh at the “clueless” 2) Help people understand with grace Go to Reddit if you are 1, in fact don’t follow me because you will not like this next decade and what I post. Increasingly, HTML Artifacts are becoming a core part of how I work with AI agents. Long-horizon agent sessions need a better way to surface insights about what work it has done. This may not be obvious right now, but as you start to let your agent work on dynamic workflows, large codebases, long-running loops (e.g., using /goal), and deep research tasks, you need a good way to present results. Chat window is not it. You also don't want to just trust everything the agents do. Artifacts help provide an important verification layer, which in turn enables important decision-making. I like HTML artifacts because I can just ask the agent to produce as many of them (and in whatever form) as I need to verify the work and make sense out of everything. I even built a nice tab system for my artifacts. They are great for continual learning and research. I use HTML artifacts for logging, tracking experiments, brainstorming, managing my inbox, code reviews, agent session management, deep research, writing, reading, and so much more. HTML Artifacts are a big part of how I work with agents now. Artifacts can be more than just static files. When combined with agents, they can take action or help you take action. This unlocks all kinds of interesting ways to work with agents. This is clearly the future. Check out this writing and scheduler artifact I built in a few minutes. It uses a bit of HTML and JS. All the data is in markdown (Obsidian vaults), so the agent can access and modify it at any time. No DB needed. No sophisticated functionalities. The agent decides all that for me based on the skills, context, and memory it has access to. The best part about this simple stack is that all the important information stays with me. This has allowed me to build a recursive self-improving system and automations that can better tap into coding agents like Codex or Claude Code. I could have paid or built an entire app for scheduling posts, and there are so many of them out there. But I don't need to. I've realized a simple artifact does the job. And the simplicity of it is actually an advantage. Very little maintenance for very high returns on personalization, time, and efficiency. The other benefit of this is that I can add features as I please. That level of personalization feels magical, and we should all be pursuing more of it. All of this just keeps compounding. Of course, this example is just about writing. But I have similar artifacts for research, design, experimentation, evaluation, and so much more. And no, I didn't actually publish the post example I shared in the clip. It was just for demonstration purposes. I actually spend more time than this when writing together with agents. Lastly, having built my own agent orchestrator tool has made me realize that simplifying the tool stack is a superpower. This has allowed me to build a recursive self-improving system and automations that can better tap into coding agents like Codex or Claude Code. I could have paid or built an entire app for scheduling posts, and there are so many of them out there. But I don't need to. I've realized a simple artifact does the job. And the simplicity of it is actually an advantage. Very little maintenance for very high returns on personalization, time, and efficiency. The other benefit of this is that I can add features as I please. That level of personalization feels magical, and we should all be pursuing more of it. All of this just keeps compounding. Of course, this example is just about writing. But I have similar artifacts for research, design, experimentation, evaluation, and so much more. And no, I didn't actually publish the post example I shared in the clip. It was just for demonstration purposes. I actually spend more time than this when writing together with agents. Lastly, having built my own agent orchestrator tool has made me realize that simplifying the tool stack is a superpower. ✨ Made a new mini feature on Photo AI: [ Grab from 3d model ] So the problem is we're at that stage in time (typical for AI) where image-to-3d models are not good enough but are fun to play with, but we know they'll be good enough in 1-2 years With [ Make 3d model ] you already can turn any Photo AI pic into a 3d model but it still looks hyper clunky and deformed, but it works! One cool idea I had to make that more useful and made now: Let people make a 3d model then change the view of the it with the 3d viewer, then press [ o ] and it grabs a frame of the 3d That image you can then [ Remix ] (img2img), and it becomes a real photo again and that in turn you can then turn into a video again with [ Make video ] So that essentially gives you a fully freeform camera position control to take photos with One thing I need to fix is the background/skybox, I kinda need to take the original photo and remove the person and just get the background for the 3d model viewer, in this case it should be white, but it's a start!

But how do you see the others shake out over the next five years? Make some guesses. But remember what an AI pioneer told me years ago about AI: it's all about the data. The Chinese ones have huge advantages: the Chinese have more data on their citizens, and many more citizens to boot AND they can make robots cheaper than we can. But now that you know OpenAI is building its own robot you have caught wind of what I've heard from many in San Francisco and Silicon Valley: that humanoid robots are the real prize of AI and will be highly profitable for those that can make them and find customers willing to buy them. The current zeitgeist of the NFT space is that the same artists are doing the same kind of work five times a year, with project after project leaving a trail of disappointment and discontent among collectors and all of us watching in disbelief as huge resources are extracted from the space over work that feels like it could be left as an "artist study." I understand that you can do what you want with your money as collectors, but we are killing the whole space with this incestuous practice. No artist is that prolific to be able to do 5 collections of 100+ pieces each every year and actually deliver innovation and some kind of creative evolution. Of course, they can pretend play that the work has something new, but there is no precedent nor proof that that has ever happened in the speed that it happens in the NFT space. Again, people are free to through away their resources on whatever they want but with this way of doing things, we more and more are going to start seeing the consequences. Oh! There are consequences? Yes. Maybe unintended, but there are. Let's see. Let's start with the loss of belief in the NFT space as somewhere where emerging artists can come and find support for their experiments. Why even bother to bring experiments, innovation, and new ways to think of art on the blockchain if the same people have all the collectors hypnotized with their magical flutes? Why even try to come to a space where taking risks and challenging the status quo (the mission of art!!!) is overlooked? This makes the NFT space a social club and not a space for art. As you can see from the clips below, vision based systems avoid countless potential collisions every day. The difference between a crash and no crash isn't what sensor suite you chose — it's whether you have any AI on your car at all. Even if we concede that LIDAR may help prevent some additional crashes, we are really debating whether it is 1% of crashes or 0.00001% of crashes. Not all crashes are super complex and require lasers to detect. Most are simple, routine, and can easily be prevented by today's vision based AI. In fact, evidence is mounting that computer vision based systems can actually outperform more traditional approaches to self-driving. Why? Because the low cost of cameras enables you to create a much larger, more varied, and more diverse dataset. If you want to have expensive custom cars that's fine, but you're going to get fewer vehicles for the same budget. Seeing what's in front of you now is actually less important than predicting what's going to happen next — and the large scale datasets used to train pure vision systems are the best for predicting what's next. Counter-intuitively, the simpler and lower cost sensor actually has properties that make it better suited for training advanced AI. Computer vision based self-driving is often framed by LIDAR proponents as "cheaping out" on the sensor suite to save money. But it's not about being cheap, it's about bringing the technology to everyone. 1.2 million people die on the road every year around the world. That's around 39 million people who've died on the roads around the world since I was born — equivalent to a city the size of Tokyo or New Delhi getting wiped off the map. The status quo is simply unacceptable, and something has to be done to fix it as soon as possible. Of the 1.2 million people that will die on the roads this year, about 40,000 will be Americans. That's about 3%. So if we moved entirely to self-driving cars in America and brought crashes down to 0, 97% of the world's crash fatalities would still be taking place as usual. Deploying a $200,000+ retrofitted self-driving car may work in a few American cities, but it is not going to make sense in most places around the world where fares are much cheaper. Most often, the choice is not between LIDAR and vision. It's between vision or nothing. The best system is the system that's there running on my car when I need it to save my life.
