This comes in a settlement with the hospital, where it was also forced to pay $10 million for illegally giving transgender surgeries to kids. This is a MAJOR win for Ken Paxton and Republicans ahead of the midterms. It's about time we protect kids, not harm them. House Bill 495 (2025) - A bill to prohibit Kentucky Medicaid funds from paying for gender-affirming care (hormones or surgery) for transgender adults.
